Five alleged members of Lil Durk's OTF arrested for the murder of Quando Rondo's cousin
Hours before Lil Durk's arrest, five alleged members of Only The Family were indicted for murder-for-hire of rapper Quando Ronada's cousin Saviay’a Robinson on August 19, 2022, in Los Angeles. The five arrested members are Kavon London Grant (aka Vonnie), Deandre Dontrell Wilson (aka DeDe), David Brian Lindsey (aka Browneyez), Asa Houston (aka Boogie), and Keith Jones (aka Flacka).
On August 19, 2022, according to Fox 11 Los Angeles, Quando Rondo and his team were allegedly in a black Cadillac Escalade at a gas station in the Beverly Grove neighborhood when people started shooting at their vehicle at around 5:30 p.m. They drove off immediately and pulled up near the intersection of Santa Monica and San Vicente boulevards in West Hollywood, when someone called the cops.
Although Rondo was able to get away unscathed, his 24-year-old cousin Saviay’a Robinson was shot and died shortly afterward.
The indictment of the five accused was filed in the U.S. District Court in Los Angeles on October 24. According to a report by the Chicago Tribune, they were all part of Lil Durk's Only The Family.
The prosecution also alleged that the flights and rental cars of the five accused were paid for with a credit card associated with OTF. It also sserted that an anonymous member allegedly offered "lucrative music opportunities" to anyone who would murder Quando Rondo.
The prosecution claimed that the August 2022 shooting took place in retaliation for former Only The Family member King Von's death. In a 2020 altercation in Atlanta, King Von was allegedly shot dead by Quando Rondo associate Lul Timm.
According to the Feds, Vonnie reportedly flew on a private jet from Miami to oversee the operation. He was also responsible for securing hotel rooms, and other necessary supplies for the operation, and allegedly helped procure masks, firearms, and cars fitted with fake license plates to carry out the operation.
According to a report by TMZ, Houston and Jones have their hearing on Monday, October 28, in Chicago. Meanwhile, the other three didn't enforce their right to a hearing in Chicago and will be sent to Los Angeles instead.
