Quando Rondo, whose real name is Tyquian Terrel Bowman, has reportedly been sentenced to 33 months in prison over drug conspiracy charges he pleaded guilty to in August.

The rapper appeared in federal court on Wednesday (December 11) in Chatham County, Georgia, where a U.S. district court judge served him a two-year and nine-month prison sentence, starting on January 10, 2025.

"I did the wrong thing and I’m getting punished for it so I want y’all to know that you actually get punished for doing the wrong things. Just do the right thing," Quando Rondo tells ABC News Savannah.

Bowman was initially facing up to five years behind bars after he was arrested, in 2023, for drug conspiracy charges and participating in criminal street gang activity. The rapper later reached a deal with the prosecution team after pleading guilty to a lesser charge of conspiracy to possess and distribute marijuana.

The prosecution's deal reportedly included dropping additional criminal charges, from a December indictment. The charges accused the rapper of conspiring with others to possess and distribute controlled substances, which include methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, and marijuana.

Along with his sentencing, the rapper was also ordered to pay a $40,000 fine. Upon his scheduled release on October 10, 2027, Quando Rondo will be required to spend three years on probation and undergo drug testing, mental health counseling, and educational training requirements.

What is Quando Rondo's connection to Lil Durk? Relationship explored as rapper sentenced over drug charges

Quando Rondo plays a major role in Lil Durk's ongoing murder-for-hire investigation, as he was reportedly the individual the OTF CEO allegedly put a hit on two years ago.

According to reports from Durk Banks' October arrest, to which he pleaded not guilty last month, the All My Life rapper supposedly used his record label, OTF (Only The Family), to engage in violent and criminal activity.

Prosecutors in the Central District of California claim that Lil Durk orchestrated a hit on Quando Rondo, allegedly seeking revenge over the murder of upcoming OTF signee King Von.

According to Complex, Banks has reportedly been charged with conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire, committing murder-for-hire involving a death, and use of a machine gun in a violent crime resulting in death.

Quando Rondo and King Von reportedly engaged in a brawl outside an Atlanta hookah lounge when the shooting took place. The OTF signee was reportedly shot and killed on November 6, 2020, by Timothy Leeks, who goes by the alias Lul Tim.

According to an October indictment, five men with connections to OTF had traveled from Chicago to Los Angeles in 2022.

The document alleges that Kavon London Grant, Deandre Dontrell Wilson, Keith Jones, David Brian Lindsey, and Asa Houston, were offered money and "lucrative music opportunities" from someone within the record label for a successful hit on Quando Rondo.

Court documents allege that these individuals remained in California for several days before tracking Quando to a gas station in Los Angeles and allegedly firing multiple shots into his black escalade before driving away.

While Quando Rondo survived the encounter, his cousin Lul Pab, sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Since the unsealing of Durk's criminal complaint, social media has been flooded with unverified reports claiming an individual snitched on the OTF CEO and his crew.

An individual named OTF Jam allegedly snitched on record labels' alleged "criminal operations" supposedly conspiring with authorities by wearing a wire for several years.

While Quando Rondo will begin his sentence next month, the rapper spoke with ABC News calling his prison sentence an opportunity for "growth and self-reflection".

The rapper highlights his intention to use the next 33 months to "rehabilitate" himself and focus on turning his life around for friends and family.
