Rapper Lil Scrappy recently took to the internet to respond to the surveillance footage that captured fellow musician Sean “Diddy” Combs physically assaulting his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura. Lil Scrappy, whose real name is Darryl Richardson II, said online that he was willing to fight Combs after his actions surfaced.

Trigger Warning: The following article discusses physical violence. Reader’s discretion is advised.

In a lengthy and profanity-laced video, Lil Scrappy relentlessly attacked Diddy and did not hold back. In the video, the Head Bussa singer said he would “take the fade with Diddy” if he walked past him. For those uninitiated, taking the “fade” is an internet slang term that refers to getting into a fight with someone.

As the video progressed, Lil Scrappy said that Diddy’s behavior in the released surveillance footage was “foul.” He also said that it appears as if Diddy was taking part in such jarring actions “for a long time.”

Richardson also said he would not opine that Cassie Ventura was lying about her experience with Diddy.

“That was some real bi**h s**t”— Lil Scrappy delivers scathing speech against Diddy in social media post

Lil Scrappy is a 40-year-old southern rapper best known for songs like No Problem, Money in the Bank, Some Cut, Lost My Mind and No Love, among others. Before entering the music scene, he starred in VH1’s Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, shot in 2012.

In his recent Instagram Live, Richardson described the Bad Boy CEO’s actions as:

“The way he did shawty, that was foul. That was some real b**ch sh*t. You can tell he was doing that sh*t for a long time.”

Speaking about abuse victims, Richardson said in his video:

“They just sitting there going through that sh*t and we need to help them mother**kers too. Cuz they stay there for 15 to 20 years and they really don’t know how to get out. Ain’t no money to pull them out.”

Lil Scrappy is not the only one who has publicly attacked Diddy for his actions. A longtime critic of Combs and singer Aubrey O’Day also took to the internet on May 19 to respond to Diddy’s most recent apology video by saying,

“Diddy did not apologize to Cassie. He apologized to the world for seeing what he did.”

50 Cent also took to the internet to address the surveillance footage. He wrote on Instagram on Monday, May 20:

“This is not going to work, who is advising him right now? SMH bad move.”

Longtime supporter of Diddy and radio show host Charlamagne The God also reiterated Aubrey O’Day’s opinions on The Breakfast Club on Monday. He said that Sean Combs was apologetic for getting caught, not for his actions.

Several people in the music industry are taking to social media to respond to Diddy’s actions after CNN released surveillance footage of him manhandling Cassie Ventura. The incident took place in 2016 at a Los Angeles hotel. In the concerning clip, one could see Combs throwing, choking, dragging, and kicking Ventura.

After the clip was released, Diddy took to his official Instagram account to apologize for his actions, saying that he was “disgusted” by his behavior and that he was seeking professional help.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office stated that Diddy cannot be held accountable for his actions as the video appears to be too old for him to get prosecuted.
