What does Tejadas mean? Internet references Lil Durk's Power Book II role in wake of his recent arrest

On October 24, rapper Lil Durk was taken into custody in Florida, after he was accused of attempting to murder the alleged killer of his associate, King Von. As reported by Fox 5 San Diego on October 25, the court indictment, which was made public following the arrest, claims that:

“Co-Conspirator 1 made clear in, coded language, that Co-Conspirator 1 would pay a bounty or monetary reward, and/or make payment to anyone who took part in killing [Quando Rondo] for his role in [King Von’s] murder.”

Meanwhile, once the news went public, people took to X to troll Lil Durk and refer to the word “Tejadas.” As per Vibe’s October 4 report, this year, Durk made his acting debut in Power Book II: Ghost, playing a cousin of the drug-smuggling Tejada family.

On the other hand, following the rapper’s arrest, netizens took to X to refer to the Tajadas and his character on the show. Some said that Durk must be still living in the show, while others said that he must have f*cked with the family.

“Soon as Lil Durk start fw the Tejadas he get picked up by the Feds”, wrote one user.

“Lil Durk must’ve really thought he was Cane Tejada’s cousin the way he tried to disappear too”, wrote another one.

Following his recent arrest, people started drawing a comparison between Lil Durk and his character, Bronze, who was associated with the Tejada family in the Power Book II: Ghost series finale. Stills from the recent episode caused social media users to have some fun and make jokes that went viral.

The second part of the Power Universe included a number of new characters that were crucial to Tariq St. Patrick’s life, such as Monet Tejada, and the rest of the Tejada family. The series opened with Tariq struggling after enrolling in college and using drugs to pay his way out.

Tariq also started working with Monet Tejada, the matriarch of the Tejada organization, which is a drug ring run by the family. Monet assumed the leadership following the imprisonment of her husband, Lorenzo.

In Power Book II: Ghost, Monet Stewart Tejada is a significant figure as she heads the Tejada drug organization along with her and Lorenzo's kids, Cane, Dru, and Diana.

She also has a secret son, famous athlete Zeke Cross, whom she kept out of the drug trade. Additionally, Lorenzo Yandel Tejada was the business tycoon of his family and Zeke Cross's stepfather.

On the other hand, Bronze, played by the rapper, is a supporting character in the fourth season of Power Book II: Ghost. He is the Tejada siblings' cousin. Durk appeared in a few episodes, riding for his cousins as they used automatics, silencers, and other weapons to seek revenge for the loss of their mother.

Durk gets caught up while attempting to assist the Tejadas in exacting revenge. He was also seen shooting at people.
