Zac Brown, frontman of the Zac Brown Band, has listed his Georgia lakefront mansion for $3.25 million amid his divorce from Kelly Yazdi. Brown and Yazdi, who tied the knot in August 2023, announced their separation in December 2023. In a statement to People Magazine, Brown said he was sad to let the mansion go, adding:
"It served me and my family well, so I know the next one will really enjoy it."
The lakefront mansion, located 40 miles outside Atlanta, includes seven bedrooms, 4 full bathrooms, a gym, a home theatre, a spa, an infinity pool, and a game room. The 9,448-square-foot house overlooks Lake Lanier with a detached boat house and a cedar dock.
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Zac Brown has an estimated net worth of $50 million. Brown started his country band with Jacob Lawson (bassist) and Marcus Petruska (the drummer) in 2002. The band has seven studio albums to its credit, the latest one being The Comeback in 2021.
Zac Brown's divorce from his estranged wife has been marred with lawsuits
Zac Brown and Kelly Yazdi separated in December 2023 after being married for four months. The couple announced their divorce via TMZ with a joint statement that read:
"We are in the process of divorce. Our mutual respect for one another remains. We wish each other the best and will always appreciate our time together. As we navigate this personal matter, we simply request privacy during this time.”
The divorce proceedings saw the estranged couple file lawsuits against each other, with Brown filing the first one in May 2024. The country singer filed for a temporary restraining order against Yazdi after she posted a poem on social media.
He claimed the post violated their confidentiality agreement and portrayed him in bad light. Yazdi responded by calling the suit "meritless," claiming Brown posted a music video that "deliberately mocked" their wedding party.
In July, Yazdi sued Brown for releasing a music video using a model that resembled her to portray her in a promiscuous, reckless, and unprofessional manner. Yazdi also claimed the music video, which was for the Avicii remix Beautiful Drug uploaded to YouTube on February 22, also used a clip of their actual wedding video with the model spliced in to replace her.
“The implication that Ms. Yazdi Brown behaves promiscuously, recklessly, irresponsibly, unprofessionally, and uses illegal drugs would be highly offensive to a reasonable person. The music video has damaged Ms. Yazdi Brown by injuring her reputation and in other ways," her lawsuit read.
The lawsuit also showed that Yazdi's team sent a cease-and-desist to Zac Brown on February 28 to take down the video but the country singer refused.
Kelly Yazdi and Zac Brown reportedly met in Hawaii in December 2021 and started dating in 2022. They tied the knot in August 2023 and had a wedding ceremony on November 18. In a TikTok video uploaded in August, Yazdi claimed that Brown told her about the divorce on Zoom nine days after the wedding ceremony.
“We got married last August, and then we held our private wedding party in Nashville last November with our family and friends, and nine days after our wedding party, Zac unexpectedly told me over Zoom that he wanted a divorce," Yazdi said.
This is not Zac Brown's first marriage. He was previously married to Shelly and the couple share five children, four daughters and one son.
