Sean "Diddy" Combs and his lawyers filed a new motion over the last weekend in an attempt to free the rapper from prison. Combs has been behind bars at the Metropolitan Detention Center since September 26, 2024, after he was arrested in New York. According to Business Insider, US District Judge Arun Subramanian has set up a new date and time for the rapper's bail hearing.
In the same report, the media outlet also reported that Combs is set to appear before the court at 2 pm on November 22, 2024. Judge Subramanian will be the third to decide whether the rapper should be released on bail while he awaits the trial for his arrest on multiple charges in September. Combs was arrested on federal charges of racketeering, sex trafficking, and transporting individuals for prostitution.
The hearing comes after several attempts by Combs' lawyers who submitted multiple bail packages, some that even had bail bonds of $50 million. However, the judges have denied all the bail bonds after prosecutors alleged that the rapper could be a "flight risk."

Sean "Diddy" Combs was arrested nearly two months after several women accused him of s*xual assault, drug use, and prostitution. Federal prosecutors also alleged that since 2009, Diddy has physically and s*xually assaulted multiple victims and recorded the assaults on camera.
The new pointers in the motion explored as Diddy’s lawyers submit another bail package
Rapper San "Diddy" Combs' lawyers have filed several motions to get him released on bail after his September 2024 arrest. They filed another motion over the weekend with a different set of points, and the bail package claims that Combs was hopeful that the third judge would agree to their terms. The package requested Judge Subramanian to agree to the rapper being put into "home confinement and [be under] round-the-clock GPS tracking."
The rapper's Florida assets have secured his $50 million bond in the newest proposal. USA Today reported that Sean Combs allegedly claimed that he wouldn't want internet or phone access if he were freed. The proposal added that the rapper wouldn't meet anyone without legal counsel and that he would have a pre-approved list of visitors, which would have the names of selected family members.
The latest motion also mentioned that the rapper would participate in "full home detention," which would be conducted at either his Miami or New York house. According to his lawyers, Diddy agreed to have security personnel assigned by the court monitor his family visits.
The rapper's lawyers alleged that with Diddy being at the Metropolitan Detention Center, it has become difficult for them to prepare for the case. They cited the constant lockdowns and sweeps as the reason behind them being unable to meet their client.
As per USA Today, his attorneys stated that it would be impossible for the rapper to "review this incredible volume of evidence" in the current conditions.
"Even assuming Mr. Combs obtains a laptop and counsel is able to share the critical discovery with him and visit him at the MDC every day, uninterrupted, it will be impossible for Mr. Combs to review this incredible volume of evidence under the present conditions,” the lawyers were quoted saying.
While the rapper's lawyers are denying the claims of assault and the charges against him netizens are unhappy about the new hearing date. However, at the moment, neither Diddy’s representatives nor his lawyers have commented on the new hearing date.
