Rapper Kanye West recently honored fellow rapper Drake and stylist Ian Connor with a performance of his song, I Wonder, on Friday, August 23, during a show in Seoul, South Korea. This happened as Ye hosted another Vultures performance in Korea.

He performed the 74-song set that included songs from his entire career. He then sang a little bit from each of his albums, pausing after Stronger to dedicate the song to Connor and Drake.

During the opening of I Wonder, he said,

"This one for Drake, this one for Ian Connor”.

Meanwhile, once the video from the performance went viral, netizens took to X to react to the shout-out. It apparently confused the netizens as the rappers were seemingly involved in a feud and now they are apparently friends.

“When did Drake and Kanye West became buddies again”, asked one X user.

The netizen here referred to Drake and Kanye’s complicated history. Their feud has unfolded since 2018. Drake and West initially shared a good relationship. However, that changed after West produced rapper Pusha T’s album Daytona even though Drake and Pusha T had been at odds since 2011.

Other netizens also took a jab at the entire collaboration.

“This how Kanye be switching up on people after beefing them”, said another one.
“Nah this n1gga is way too bipolar”, said another X user.
“I don’t think he got dot anymore”, commented another user.
“Love / Hate relationship”, wrote another user.

Other X users also said the same thing.

“I mean this album made drake so it makes sense”, a netizen said.
“Blud is trying to revive drake's career but it ain't gonna work”, joked another X user.
“I guess the elimination attempt failed”, hilariously wrote another one.

Rapper-singer Kanye West recently gave a shout-out to fellow rapper-singer Drake and stylist and fashion influencer Ian Connor. During his performance at the Vultures listening party in Seoul, he performed I Wonder and dedicated the song to Drizzy and Connor.

This particularly threw the netizens off as Drizzy and West have been beefing for a long time. Furthermore, some recently resurfaced footage of West and Drake made the matter even more confusing.

In the 2022 footage, which resurfaced on Wednesday, August 7, speaking to Candace Owens about the 6ix God singer, Kanye West could be seen saying,

"Drake is the best rapper ever by the numbers. Jay-Z is the greatest rapper ever by the inspiration.”

Meanwhile, once the Seoul concert video was released online, people couldn’t help but wonder when Kanye and Drake became friends again.

Ye and Drake have a complex past. They initially frequently worked together on different projects, but they eventually turned into rivals. This happened after West and Pusha T's collaboration on a project.

Pusha T, a rapper, and Drake have strained relations since 2011. Following the success of Pusha T's album Daytona, which West produced, tensions between the two increased.

Pusha T questioned Drake's lyrical ability on the album's final track, Infrared. Drake then responded with Duppy Freestyle and labeled West as a "leech and serpent" for harboring animosity toward his former partner. Since then, tensions have risen.

Nevertheless, when J. Prince mediated a truce that allowed Drake and Ye to reconcile on stage at the Free Larry Hoover Benefit concert in Los Angeles in December 2021, it was believed that their feud had finally been resolved once and for all.

However, soon things went wrong with their relationship once more when West supposedly defied Drake in April 2024 as he joined Future, Metro Boomin, and Kendrick Lamar on a remix of Like That.

Now with West giving a shoutout to Drizzy, netizens are assuming that they are friends again.

Nevertheless, Drake hasn't replied to the shout-out yet.
