When did Lil Keed die? Viral tweet on all the tragic losses endured by Young Thug while incarcerated goes viral

Young Thug, whose real name is Jeffery Williams, was released from custody on October 31 after entering a non-negotiated guilty plea deal. This comes after the rapper was arrested on multiple charges, including the violation of Georgia’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, commonly known as RICO. Meanwhile, a tweet listing all those close to the singer who have passed away has gone viral online.

X page @mymixtapez shared a tweet on November 1 that read:

“During the time Young Thug was locked up, he lost his child’s mother, his sister, Lil Keed, and Rich Homie Quan.”

According to CNN, the rapper was released on house arrest after spending more than 900 days in custody. As per his non-negotiated guilty plea deal, he pleaded no contest to racketeering and leading a criminal street gang.

Prosecutors attempted to prove that the rapper was reportedly the proclaimed leader of the Young Stoner Life (YSL) gang and that he was allegedly involved in the crimes committed by the gang, including the 2015 fatal shooting of an alleged rival gang member.

Young Thug has been in jail since May 2022.

Rapper Lil Keed, whose real name is Raqhid Jevon Render, best known for being mentored by Young Thug and associated with the YSL label, passed away at the age of 24 in May 2022. The singer was the father of his young daughter, named NayChur. Lil Keed released his album Trapped on Cleveland 3 in 2020, which featured Young Thug.

Williams was arrested by the time Lil Keed passed away. The cause of death was listed as eosinophilia as per the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner.

Speaking about his aspirations, Lil Keed said in an interview with XXL Magazine in 2020:

“I wanna be a megastar. I don’t wanna be no superstar. I wanna be a megastar. I wanna try to be past Prince and Michael Jackson and ‘em. And I know I can do it as long as I stay committed to what I’m doing.”

Lakevia Jackson, the mother of Williams' teenage son, Jackson, passed away in a fatal shooting in March 2023. Atlanta Homicide Commander Ralph Woolfolk said in a press statement that the shooter waited in the parking lot for 20 minutes for Jackson to come out.

Imani Spears and Joshua Fleetwood were initially charged with the shooting of Jackson. However, Fulton County Superior Court Judge Kimberly E. Esmond Amads dismissed the charges.

Young Thug was in the midst of his trial at the time of her passing.

Young Thug’s friend and associate, Rich Homie Quan, whose real name is Dequantes Devontay Lamar, passed away in September 2024 at the age of 34. As per USA Today, the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office disclosed that he died from an accidental drug overdose. It was reported that numerous drugs, including fentanyl, THC, promethazine, alprazolam, and codeine, were found in his body.

Rich Homie Quan collaborated with Young Thug on his track Lifestyle. Quan told XXL Magazine in 2014:

“I never saw myself going this far with music. Music was just a hobby at first. I never saw myself being on stage and rocking out shows. After I got out of jail, I started to take it more serious, and that’s when the dream came true.”

CNN reported that Williams would be released on probation, and he had also been ordered to perform 100 hours of community service during each of his 15 probation years. He must also remain away from the metropolitan area of Atlanta except on exempt days. He is not allowed to contact other gang members or associates.
