Brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher have put aside their differences to reunite for an Oasis stadium tour in 2025, ending their 15-year-long spat. The brothers took to social media to reveal the news to their fans on August 27, 2024, days after Liam teased a possible reunion when he headlined the Reading Festival on August 25.

This will be Oasis's first public performance since its last show at the V Festival at Weston Park on August 22, 2009. The 20-track setlist included the band's massive hits like Wonderwall, Cigarettes & Alcohol, Champagne Supernova and Supersonic.

The band was scheduled to play at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris on August 28, 2009. However, the show was canceled last minute after a fight allegedly broke out between the brothers. Hours later, Noel announced his departure from the band via a statement on its website, writing:

"It’s with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight. People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer."

Oasis Live '25 reunion tour will see the band perform in the UK and Ireland

Oasis fans were in for a treat after Noel and Liam Gallagher announced they would reunite for a stadium tour in 2025. The announcement came on August 27 with the statement:

"The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised."

The 14-day tour will see the band travel through the UK and Ireland between July 4 and August 17, 2025, with performances in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh, and Dublin.

The band also plans to take their reunion tour to other continents, but there has been no further update yet. The lineup for the band, other than the Gallagher brothers, has yet to be announced and it is unknown if the original members will make a comeback.

The news of the British band's reunion comes just days before the 30th anniversary of its debut album Definitely Maybe. The album was released on August 29, 1994.

Liam Gallagher celebrated the anniversary by performing the full album on a solo tour around the UK and Ireland from June 1 to 28, 2024. The band announced it would release Definitely Maybe - Deluxe 30th Anniversary Editions in honor of its milestone.

Created in 1991, Oasis became one of the most defining British bands in the 90s. But the band was plagued with infighting between the brothers, which led to several alleged physical altercations between them. After the alleged fight in 2009, Oasis disbanded but the brothers continued their feud on social media.

The brothers often sent scathing words towards each other, even after Noel started his own band Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds. However, in a 2019 interview with AP, Liam spoke of a possible reconciliation with his brother, saying:

“The most important thing is about me and him being brothers. He thinks I’m desperate to get the band back together for money. But I didn’t join the band to make money. I joined the band to have fun and to see the world.”

Tickets for Oasis Live '25 will go on sale at 9 am (BST) on August 31, 2024.
