The Flaming Lips took to social media to request fans to help their drummer Steven Drozd search for his teen daughter, Charlotte, who went missing on Saturday, October 5, around 11:30 AM. The 16-year-old, whose nickname is Bowie, has been classified as a missing or runaway juvenile by the Seattle Police Department. The band was in the midst of their tour with alternative-rock band Weezer. They made a stop in the city just a day before Charlotte went missing.
As per the Seattle Police Department, Charlotte Drozd was last seen near Seattle, Washington’s Space Needle. She was specifically spotted on the monorail near the landmark.

They also reported that she is approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs approximately 130 pounds. She also has brown hair and brown eyes. Bowie was last seen wearing khaki shorts and pink shoes.
A detective from the Missing Persons Unit has been assigned to investigate the case of her sudden disappearance.
The Flaming Lips’ recent Instagram post explored as Charlotte Drozd goes missing in Seattle
The iconic rock band took to their Instagram account and shared a missing poster with their 19,600 followers. The Flaming Lips wrote in their caption:
“URGENT!!! Please help if you can !!! Steven’s daughter ( she is 16 years old ) is missing !!! She was last seen at the Space Needle early on Saturday….I’ll post more info as soon as I can”
A series of hashtags were also added with the social media post, including BringBowieHome, flaminglips, theflaminglips, missingperson, missingpersonseattle, missinginseattle, missingchild.
After the post was uploaded online, Steven Drozd took to the comment section to express gratitude to the band’s frontman Wayne Coyne by saying:
“Thank you Wayne for posting. We don’t know what to do.”
The Flaming Lips were formed in 1983 in Oklahoma City. They are best known for their eclectic sound that comes under the genres of psychedelic rock, experimental music, and pop. Some popular albums of theirs include Yoshimi Battles, The Pink Robot, and The Soft Bulletin, among others.
Steven Drozd joined the group in 1991. Besides being a drummer, he has also been a songwriter, producer, and co-writer for various tracks. Other band members include frontman Wayne Coyne and bassist Michael Ivins.
The Flaming Lips have amassed multiple accolades, including three Grammy Awards, that had come from eight nominations.
On February 26, 2021, Steven took to his Instagram account to wish his daughter a happy birthday. While sharing an image of her, he wrote in the caption,
