Morgan Wallen has created headlines after his most successful project Dangerous: The Double Album grabbed the first spot on the Top Billboard 200 Albums of the 21st Century chart. The album was released in 2021 and featured 30 singles in the soundtrack.
Morgan Wallen's album was trending for different reasons after its arrival and remained at the top of the chart for almost ten weeks. Furthermore, it broke the records set by the albums of artists such as Whitney Houston on the same chart a long time ago.
Until December 28 last year, Dangerous spent almost 158 weeks among the top 10. Apart from this, the singer also got the sixth spot in the chart with his album One Thing at a Time.
The 10th spot on the list was taken by The Fame of Lady Gaga. Adele got the second position with 21 followed by Taylor Swift's Fearless and 1989 in the next two places respectively (3rd and 4th).
While Morgan has not responded to his latest achievement until now, netizens expressed their dissatisfaction with the list and they took to the comments section of a post shared by Pop Crave on X (formerly Twitter) to react to the same. One of them was seemingly not happy about Taylor Swift's 1989 not getting the first spot and wrote:
"Where's 1989 by Taylor Swift????"
A user stated that he can name 30 better albums than Morgan Wallen's Dangerous. Another person questioned how Dangerous was able to reach the top spot followed by a third user, who said that no one knows Wallen.
"I can name 30 albums that are bigger than this album," an X user wrote.
"I love Wallen's music but how," a netizen stated on X.
"No one even knows who this is," one of the reactions mentioned.
While a user claimed that he had not listened to the album until now, Morgan's fans also stepped in, congratulating him for the achievement.
"I have never seen anyone listen to this," a netizen commented.
"Morgan Wallen is a great singer, well deserved!" a user wrote on X.
"Congratulations to Morgan Wallen," another X reaction reads.
Morgan Wallen's Dangerous represented different sides of his personality
Dangerous: The Double Album was the second album of the Sneedville, Tennessee native. It arrived around three years after his debut project, If I Know Me, which also turned out to be commercially successful.
Before the album's arrival, the 31-year-old decided to bring a Spotify experience titled Morgan Wallen Presents Dangerous, the Enhanced Album so that fans could see the behind-the-scenes while he was creating it. In an interview with People magazine, Wallen said that Spotify has been very supportive of his music ever since his debut.
Morgan appeared in a trailer of the experience, saying that the album brings two sides of his personality, starting with the personal and introspective side alongside the other, which is "more rowdy, redneck." Wallen said that this was intentional and continued:
"I didn't have that plan when we were writing the album. Putting the songs together, it fortunately ended up to be a good split."
While Morgan Wallen has not announced any new album until now, he released three singles last year and they are reportedly supposed to be a part of his fourth album.
