DJ Quik and Snoop Dogg have collaborated extensively in both stage performances and studio recordings, leaving an indelible mark on hip-hop. Their first notable collaboration was on Snoop Dogg's 1999 album No Limit Top Dogg, particularly on the popular track Buss'n Rocks.

Recently, they reunited on stage for Snoop Dogg's Canada tour in June 2024. During Kendrick Lamar's Pop Out show on the tour, DJ shared a deeply emotional moment alongside Snoop Dogg.

On June 30, 2024, at the BET Awards, DJ Quik spoke to All Hip Hop while describing the powerful impact of the performances at the show. DJ Quik shared that Snoop Dogg attempted to attend the concert by chartering a jet. However, due to logistical challenges, it was not feasible.

"Snoop tried to fly us back for the Pop Out. He tried to charter a jet and it didn't work out logistically because we would have missed our show in Ottawa, Canada," DJ said.

DJ could not attend the most anticipated Kendrick Lamar's Pop Out concert because he and Snoop Dogg were in Canada for Snoop's Cali to Canada Tour 2024.

Exploring the DJ Quik and Snoop Dogg Collaboration Playlist

DJ Quik and Snoop Dogg, both influential in West Coast hip-hop, have collaborated on several iconic tracks over the years. Their notable collaborations include DJ Quik's The P***y Medley featuring Snoop (1998), Snoop Dogg's Don't Tell (1999), and Ride On/Caught Up (2005).

Their most recent collaboration was on the Cali to Canada Tour 2024, which was part of Snoop Dogg and Warren G's album tour. The tour ran from June 3 to June 25, 2024.

Last week, with All Hip Hop DJ born David Marvin Blake, shared his salty moment suggesting that he teared up for not attending the event. DJ told the publication that he was in Canada at the time of the concert—

"I cried myself to sleep that night in the dumb-ass Hilton hotel looking at you guys. I started hating. What did I tell you? I was knee deep in Canada when all that unity happened," DJ said.

He further said that they sat in the hotel "steaming," DJ emphasized on saying that he was furious about the whole situation—

"But we sat there steaming. I was steaming!" DJ added.

The dates of the Pop Out show and the Cali to Canada Tour coincide in such a way that on June 19, 2024, Snoop Dogg, along with special guests Warren G and DJ, had a performance at the SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon, SK. They were scheduled to perform in Edmonton, AB, the following day at Rogers Place.

Nevertheless, Snoop Dogg took to his Instagram live from a hotel room in Canada on June 21, 2024, and paid a massive shout-out to Kendrick Lamar and called him the "King of the West," as he united all West Coast artists for his The Pop Out: Ken & Friends concert —

"Sending a big shout out to K.dot... Beautiful to see all my peoples come together. And K.dot – you are the King of the West," Snoopy said.

The Pop Out: Ken & Friends by Lamar was held on June 19, 2024, at the Kia Forum in Inglewood. It was a star-studded concert with many high-profile celebrities, including DJ Hed, Mustard, Dom Kennedy, Steve Lacy, and more, who graced the event.
