Rapper Blueface's parents were caught in a heated argument over caring for their grandson following the arrest of Chrisean Rock, the baby's mother, at a Los Angeles County court on June 10, 2024. Blueface is currently serving his seven-month sentence for a probation violation, with his release date scheduled for July 2, 2024.

After Chrisean Rock was arrested on a felony fugitive warrant, authorities temporarily took charge of her baby, Chrisean Rock Jr, who was born in September 2023. With his parents unable to care for him, the responsibility fell on the shoulders of Bluface's parents, Karlissa Saffold and Johnathan Michael Porter Sr.

But the two were captured arguing, neither wanting to assume the responsibility for the baby. Saffold urged her ex-husband to take the baby, but he refused, claiming he was not a babysitter despite supporting Rock while she lived at Blueface's home.

According to All HipHop, Saffold and Porter Sr. traded insults, with the latter accusing the former of putting on a show for the cameras. Later, Saffold confirmed that the baby was being taken care of by Rock's friend, Marsh.

Blueface's parents separated in 2000 when he was a child

According to Distractify, Blueface's parents, Karlissa Saffold and Johnathan Michael Porter Sr., separated in 2000, with the rapper and his siblings caught between their parents in various custody battles. He attended several elementary schools before he moved in with his mom in Santa Clarita Valley.

Johnathan Michael Porter Sr., Blueface's father, was reportedly a coach who previously resided in Oakland. It is unclear where he lives now and not much is known regarding his life.

According to her Facebook profile, Karlissa Saffold, Blueface's mother, attended Warren G Harding High School. She graduated with a degree in marketing from College of the Canyons. Following her divorce from her ex-husband, she remarried in April 2018, tying the knot with Sterling Saffold, a football player for the San Diego Chargers.

Karlissa produces her family's reality series, CixoT: The Real LA Family Blues, on Patreon. She also founded My Angelic Fitness in 2020 and currently works as a weight loss coach.

She also has a few movie credits to her name, appearing as an extra in the 2004 flick Soul Plane. In a TikTok video, she explained that she got the part because "she knew somebody that knew somebody that knew her agent."

Karlissa reportedly did not share a good relationship with Chrisean Rock, claiming that the latter turned her son against her. In an Instagram story in September 2023, she wrote:

"She [Chrisean Rock] does this to her own family. You don't have to prove nothing to the world, God will reveal everything in his timing. Keep trying to do the right thing and wait for his signal."

On June 10, 2024, Chrisean Rock was arrested at a courthouse in the San Fernando Valley while attending a court hearing for Blueface. She was taken into custody without bail for a felony fugitive warrant, with an additional assault with a deadly weapon charge.

According to Complex, the charge reportedly originated from Oklahoma concerning a 2022 drug charge including marijuana possession with intent to distribute.
