Sean 'Diddy' Combs’ one-time former clothing designer, Bryana "Bana" Bongolan, filed a lawsuit against him in L.A. Superior Court on November 27. Bana claimed the music mogul allegedly dangled her off the balcony of a 17-storey apartment building on the West Coast in 2016. Bana has reportedly asked for compensation exceeding $10 million.

According to Bana Bongolan's website, she began working for West Hollywood streetwear brands like Crooks & Castles in high school. Later, she supposedly created her own brand, BEINHABITED, which designed outfits for artists including Chris Brown, Meek Mill, and The Game. In addition to sportswear, graphic tees, and dresses, Bana is also said to have worked on leather goods.

Around 2017, Bana Bongolan launched a collab-centric label, Orange by Bana. An introductory note on her website, likely written a few years ago, mentioned Cassie Ventura and Sean "Diddy" Combs among her U.S.-based celebrity clientele.

Bana Bongolan has also purportedly worked with other Hollywood artists, including Jaden Smith, Ayesha Curry, Saweetie, and YG. She is currently the CEO of PosterChild Art Factory.

Diddy's alleged assault on Bana Bongolan took place in Cassie Ventura's apartment

Attorney James R. Nikraftar from Miller Barondess filed Bana Bongolan's civil suit against Diddy. The 17-page complaint alleged:

"On or about September 26. 2016, Sean 'P. Diddy' Combs s*xually battered Ms. Bryana "Bana" Bongolan, dangled her off of a 17-story-high balcony. and then slammed her into the patio furniture on the balcony."

According to news outlet Deadline, the filing claims Bana was reportedly living in Cassie Ventura's Los Angeles apartment during the alleged incident. Combs' supposed action was described as "outrageous and abhorrent" in the complaint, claiming the alleged assault "violated Ms. Bongolan’s fundamental dignity, bodily autonomy, and sense of safety."

According to the document, the September 26 event was allegedly followed by a series of prior threats, violence, and intimidation that prevailed during many of Bana's interactions with the Bad Boy Records founder. Combs allegedly referred to himself as the "motherf***ing devil" and threatened to kill her in an attempt to "terrorize, intimidate, and instill fear." The document further stated:

"The only purpose of dangling someone over a balcony is to actually kill them or to intentionally terrorize them and rob them of any concept of dominion over their own bodily autonomy and safety. It should be no surprise that is exactly what happened to Ms. Bongolan."

In response to Bana Bongolan's lawsuit, Combs' attorneys said the creative designer reportedly intended to sue the mogul since last year and has been seeking legal representation to proceed with it. They claimed:

"Mr. Combs firmly denies these serious allegations and remains confident they will ultimately be proven baseless."

Combs' attorneys added:

"He has unwavering faith in the facts and in the fairness of the judicial process. In court, the truth will come to light, demonstrating that the claims against Mr. Combs are without merit."

This latest lawsuit comes after Diddy was denied bail for a third time in his ongoing s*x trafficking case. He has maintained his claim about being innocent throughout his legal woes since Cassie Ventura's 2023 lawsuit. According to Reuters, Combs' trial is scheduled to begin on May 5, 2025.
