Carl Bevan was associated with the UK punk band 60 Ft. Dolls. Although originally from Glynneath, Neath Port Talbot, he grew up in Newport. His father Ray Bevan also shared a post on his Facebook page. He posted a picture of the two of them and wrote,
“It’s with a heavy heart I post this today. My beautiful, talented, funny genius only son passed away yesterday.I will miss you Carl .Im so proud of you .You had so many dreams about your future as an artist but be assured your unique incredible paintings will reach legendary status in the years to come .My life will never be the same without you.”
Carl Bevan later on became a landscape artist
Before Carl's band split in 1998, it performed at the Glastonbury Festival. 60 Ft. Dolls supported other contemporary bands from that time like Sex Pistols and Oasis. After quitting music, he gained much fame as a landscape artist in 2018. His art is available on his official website carlbevanart.com.
The artist wanted to become a drummer and a cartoonist. He spent almost a decade being a drummer. He realized later on that he was not able to play drums the way he wanted to. The artist produced around 60 paintings. His work has been sold in Australia, Canada, and the USA.
