New York Times best-selling author Elisabeth Ovesen has recently shed light on the time she came across Diddy in 2001. In an interview with the Daily Beast published on September 25, the now-46-year-old writer said she was 21 during the encounter.

Also known as Karrine Steffans, she told the outlet that she stumbled upon the Bad Boy Records founder as he exited a club after midnight, accompanied by a few other men. In her 2005 book, the author claimed those associates were Irv Gotti, founder of Murder Inc Record, and one of its rappers, Ja Rule. Known as Karrine back then, she was a part of Jay-Z’s Hey Papi music video and was supposedly a known face to the other men accompanying Diddy that night.

Upon seeing her, the record executive allegedly inquired who she was to which Gotti and Rule made the introduction. After that, the music mogul purportedly asked the others to send Elisabeth to his place — an opportunity the author said she grabbed and went to his house:

"That was the first time he and I spent time."

The author added:

"In retrospect, I realized that I was given to him as a gift by another executive."

However, Elisabeth Ovesen clarified that she was aware of why Diddy let her into his house. She claimed to have gone there knowingly with the intent to witness and then document everything that used to transpire in his house.

Elisabeth Ovesen clarifies she was not one of Diddy's victims

In her book, Confessions of a Video Vixen, Elisabeth Ovesen claimed she was romantically linked with Lil Wayne, Bobby Brown, Method Man, Vin Diesel, Bill Maher, and several others. She said her relationship with Bill ran from 2005 to 2007 and the two have maintained a friendship since then.

Elisabeth also alleged having relationships with Diddy, Jay-Z, and DMX but did not name the exact nature of these ties. She clarified to Daily Beast during the interview:

"I was not one of his victims. And his victims deserve the space and time to discuss what happened in those rooms."

She compared Diddy’s parties to those demonstrated in The Great Gatsby with half-naked women while men were fully clad in expensive suits. Elisabeth added the parties were filled with alcohol, drugs, and groups of people engaging in s*x acts in the bathrooms. She described the atmosphere of those parties as "f***ing intense".

However, Elisabeth Ovesen spoke about another side of these parties where men allegedly exerted power on women to the point of abuse. She also claimed to have watched video footage where Diddy allegedly hurled physical assault on Cassie, whom he was seeing at the time.

Elisabeth said she could not watch the entire video as it was "very triggering", but she could empathize with Cassie. She said it was not that only Diddy or the hip-hop culture was problematic, but the issue lies with men who harbored a profound hatred for women in their hearts:

"Men who hate women, men who hate who they are, who can't admit to their s*xuality, who are pretending to be straight when they’re not. And they hate women because they can't."

The writer added:

"They don’t love women. Most of them want to be women, and they can't, and they hate us. They beat us early and often."

Elisabeth, the CEO of The Ovesen Company, said her “message” was for women to encourage them so that they can come forward with their stories without any hesitance or fear. The three-time best-selling author reassured women alike that telling the world would only make them stronger.
