Rapper Fatman Scoop was taken to the hospital after suffering from a medical emergency during a concert in Hamden, Connecticut, on Friday, August 30, 2024. The singer was performing as a part of the Hamden Arts Commission Free Summer Concert Series when he concerningly passed out onstage. TMZ exclusively reported that Fatman Scoop, whose real name is Isaac Freeman, collapsed onstage. People then rushed over to administer CPR to the singer. Law enforcement also confirmed with the news outlet that emergency responders were dispatched to the venue at 8:33 p.m.
In videos that have taken over the internet, one can see medical professionals performing chest compressions on someone who stood behind a DJ booth in the concert. Many claimed that it was Fatman Scoop. At one point, the musician suddenly stopped playing, and one could hear murmurs about the singer in the crowd.
It was also reported that the singer was taken out of the venue in a stretcher. Netizens now await more updates regarding his health.

Fatman Scoop earned his nickname from a baby from an uncle, since the radio personality liked ice-cream. It is generally assumed he got the nickname after appearing as an ice cream vendor in the Fugees’ music video Killing Me Softly. He was also a presenter on New York City radio’s WQHT station.
He also made regular appearances on the Man and Wife TV podcast alongside his wife Shanda Freeman. The couple openly spoke about their relationship and gave marriage advice to listeners.
Fatman initially stepped into the music industry by first making an appearance as a solo artist on Timbaland & Magoo’s track Drop in 2001.
