Who is Frédéric Thiébaud? All about Shania Twain’s current spouse as singer insists ex-husband deserves empathy despite committing infidelity

According to Shania Twain, her ex-husband "deserves empathy and understanding" because he cheated on her with her closest friend. After 15 years of staying together, the singer of Man! I Feel Like a Woman broke up with her ex-partner Robert "Mutt" Lunge in 2008 after it became apparent he was having an affair with Marie-Anne Thiébaud.

The singer was asked about Mutt on the recent Great Company with Jamie Laing podcast's May 28 episode. When discussing about forgiving Mutt during the program, she shared—

"Forgiveness is in the family of letting go. But forgiveness, more specifically for me anyway, is not about forgetting necessarily. It's about understanding the other person, and that might mean that they're wrong."

After their divorce, Twain married Frédéric Thiébaud, Marie-Anne's spouse, six months later.

People reported that Thiébaud is a business executive at Nestlé who oversees the company's activities in Switzerland. Growing up, he supposedly dreamed of becoming a singer, but he discovered he was better at managing people than playing music.

Thiébaud, the singer's husband, is a business executive at Nestlé who oversees the company's activities in Switzerland. Not much is known about Frédéric Thiébaud as he seemed to have a very private life.

However, his LinkedIn profile states that he is an independent businessman from Switzerland. He has a degree in economics from Geneva, Switzerland's School of Economics and Business Administration.

He also has a long career working for Nestlé International as a project leader. He worked for numerous large restructuring and investment projects for growth projects in South and Central America, Asia, Oceania, Africa, and Europe.

Before joining Nestlé Nespresso International, he led the company's operations in the Middle East, North Africa, Japan, Turkey, Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands until 2010.

He also has operated his own company management and consulting firms since 2010 and is involved in a variety of commercial endeavors and entertainment initiatives.

Frédéric married Twain in 2011. Both of them were married to other people when they first met in the 1990s. However, they soon learned of their partners' infidelity. The couple got engaged in December 2010 and in a small ceremony in Puerto Rico, they tied the knot.

People reported that Shaina opened up about Thiébaud and showered him with praises in a letter to her admirers on December 21, 2010. She wrote—

“Talking about love. I am excited to share some personal news with you; I’m in love! Frederic Nicolas Thiebaud has been a true gift to me as a compassionate, understanding friend and over time, an amazing love has blossomed from this precious friendship. Fred and I are happy to announce our ENGAGEMENT!”

It's been 11 years and they have been together ever since.

Despite his extramarital affair, Shania Twain has no ill will towards her former husband Robert "Mutt" Lange. On the May 28 podcast episode of Great Company with Jamie Laing, Twain was questioned about her 1993 marriage to Mutt.

Regarding the same, Shania Twain added—

"Do I hate my ex-husband for making a mistake? No. It's his mistake. Not my mistake."

Later, she said she could forgive him completely because she allegedly knew he wasn't healthy.

She continued—

“You don’t act certain ways unless there’s something wrong with you. I feel bad that he had those problems. So it’s very hard to hate or not be able to forgive somebody that you believe.”

She further said that she discovered peace long ago. She also admitted that perhaps forgiving her ex-husband led to peace. She also said that now that their marriage was over, she could appreciate him more for everything he did to make her profession and life possible. So, her anger towards him was gone.

Meanwhile, Shania Twain’s last album was Queen of Me. As of now, no new album of the singer has been announced.
