Emerging Guildford singer Henry Moodie recently criticized President-elect Donald Trump in an end-of-year interview with Big Issue. The 78-year-old defeated Democrat supremo Kamala Harris in the 2024 United States Presidential Election, becoming the 47th President of the country after Joe Biden.
According to an Associated Press report, Donald Trump ended the election with 312 electoral votes, 42 more than the favorable number of 270. Harris, meanwhile, amassed 226 electoral votes at the end of the counting process.
In an interview for Big Issue's My Big Year series, songster Henry Moodie was asked about what 'the world got wrong this year.' The 20-year-old replied:
"I was really sad to see Donald Trump elected. The narcissistic, racist, homophobic rhetoric from the leader of the most powerful country in the world I find deeply upsetting. I felt a lot of hope in Kamala, she couldn’t be more qualified for the job."
Henry Moodie became famous in 2020 when his eponymous TikTok channel went viral. The 20-year-old posts original vocal covers of popular songs and has amassed over 129 million views for his efforts. He has over six million followers on TikTok and 2.3 million followers on his Instagram account.
