Fallen Idols: Nick and Aaron Carter premiered on May 27 and May 28, 2024, on Investigation Discovery, with Kaya Jones making some serious revelations. People magazine obtained an exclusive clip of the ID's docuseries, in which Jones revealed that she contacted Melissa Schuman after the latter accused Nick Carter of r*ping her in 2023. Jones reportedly believed that "something horrifying" happened to Melissa.
Jones further spoke about a warning X post she sent to Nick and added:
"It was my way of saying, ‘Don’t push it.’ because he knows what I know. He knows why I left him. And so do I believe that something horrific happened to that girl? Yes. Yes, I do."

Kaya Jones, a Canadian-American model and singer, gained recognition in 2003 when she became a part of The Pussycat Dolls in February. She soon left the group and further began to work on her solo career as well. At the beginning of her career, Jones reportedly had a brief period where she dated Nick Carter, who has been a member of Backstreet Boys, since 1993.
More about Nick Carter's ex-girlfriend Kaya Jones as she reached out to Melissa regarding the 2003 incident
Amid the release of Fallen Idols: Nick and Aaron Carter, a clip showed Kaya Jones revealing that she spoke to Melissa, who accused Nick Carter (Jones' former boyfriend) of r*ping her.
Born in 1984, in Toronto, Kaya Jones was raised in Nevada. While she is often associated with The Pussycat Dolls, it is not yet confirmed if she was ever an official member of the group. Choreographer Robin Antin, who also founded the girl group, claimed that Jones was never an official member. Jones left the group even before they could drop their debut studio album.
Jones then told Yahoo! Singapore in August 2012 that it was not fun anymore in the group and added:
"When everyone is not on the same page it affects the group so that I think was the worst part and I decided to leave".
Eventually, she made some serious claims against the group. She alleged that the group was actually being a "prostitution ring." Kaya Jones also said that she, along with her band members, were ill-treated in the group. However, Robin Antin bashed now 39-year-old Jones and her then-bandmates also declined any such claims.
Born to a native American dad and a Jamaican mother, Kaya Jones spent her childhood learning to play violin and also to act. Her hit solo tracks include Hollywood Doll and Take It Off.
Apart from her singing career, Jones had also been a strong supporter of Donald Trump. According to Yahoo News UK, she even made an announcement of joining the National Diversity Coalition for Trump in December 2017.
Exploring the details of allegations on Nick Carter and Kaya Jones's X post addressing former boyfriend in 2017
In the exclusive clip obtained by People magazine, Kaya Jones revealed that she spoke to her former boyfriend's r*pe accuser, Melissa. The latter claimed that Nick Carter had s*xually assaulted her back in 2003 in his apartment in Santa Monica.
"Nick Carter was my boyfriend when I was in The Pussycat Dolls, and I saw the very detailed allegation about Nick and the response. It bothered me. Because it was discrediting this girl," Kaya Jones mentioned.
The outlet reported that Jones contacted Melissa through X, where they exchanged numbers and Melissa called her. In the same video clip, Melissa Schuman said:
"Kaya was so kind to me. I think we must’ve spoken for hours. I needed someone to tell me that my life wasn’t over."
Schuman first spoke about the allegations in a blog in 2017. According to her, she was only 18 years old when Carter allegedly r*ped her. Nick Carter, on the other hand, denied all the accusations made against him and claimed that they had consensual s*x.
Later in February 2023, Carter filed a countersuit against Shannon Ruth, who also accused him of alleged s*xual battery. In the same lawsuit, Melissa Schuman's name was also reportedly involved. Carter then claimed that the women were trying to misuse the #MeToo movement and "defame" him. A few months later, in April, Schuman finally sued Carter over the alleged 2003 incident.
In response to the April lawsuit, Carter's lawyer claimed that the allegations were totally false and were more like a "PR stunt." In the recent clip, Kaya Jones claimed that she had written an X post as a warning to Carter in 2017.
"Nick denies the allegations just like Robin denied my abuse. I know all about the truth here. Don’t lie Nick. I’m no longer keeping your secrets," Jones mentioned.
Jones addressed Schuman and said that she felt that a woman who was trying to take a stand for herself was being suppressed by an individual with more authority. This allegedly prompted Jones to write an X post against Nick Carter.
In the trailer of the docuseries titled Fallen Idols: Nick and Aaron Carter, Jones was heard saying that she knew "how evil" Carter could be.
The docuseries aired on ID as well as Max on May 27 and 28, 2024.
