On May 28, Tuesday, Rolling Stone published a report alleging that Sean "Diddy" Combs has been abusive since he was in college. One of the most noticeable ones would have to be the information about the late music executive Shakir Stewart.
Stewart was considered to be a very powerful personality in the hip-hop community, who even signed Beyoncé. In 2008, the music executive was found dead with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The Oakland native had also signed some big shots like Rick Ross, Young Jeezy, and Ciara.
The allegation of assaulting Stewart stemmed from 2000 when he was dating Kim Porter, who was also Diddy's former partner. This allegedly enraged the rapper and made him hit the music executive.

Amid the long list of allegations against Diddy, ranging from being a "demanding boss" to being abusive, the exposé published by Rolling Stone, has covered it all. One of the names that has come forward from the report would be that of late music executive Shakir Stewart.
Stewart was a well-known name in the hip-hop industry back then, responsible for signing some famous artists. Shakir Stewart began his career by distributing concert fliers at clubs. He then started working at LaFace Records and Hitco Music Publishing, before joining Def Jam Recordings.
In 2000, when he was reportedly dating Kim Porter, Combs got extremely enraged and allegedly hit him with a chair. According to the outlet, the incident happened at L.A. Reid's wedding that year in Italy. Stewart's mum Portia spoke about the alleged incident, and said,
"He left him bleeding on a hotel floor in Italy. He had to have stitches and then [Combs] threatened him… 'I’m going to kill you'… That’s when I said you need to get out of this business. This man is crazy."
Eight years later, in 2008, Stewart was found suffering in his bathroom from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was rushed to the hospital, where he later died. After his death, Def Jam released a statement confirming the same and said,
"Shakir was an amazing man in every sense of the word. A truly incredible friend and father who was an inspiration to not only our artists and employees, but to his family and the many people that had the privilege of counting him as a friend."
Assaulting the music executive is one of the many new allegations that have come up against Diddy.
