A recent report about rapper Super Nard from Montgomery, Alabama left his fans in shambles. Facebook page Montogomery’s Hood News shared a photo of the rapper on August 13 with the caption “Rest up SuperNard”.
Shortly after, another report about his alleged death surfaced on the Instagram page Traps N Trunks. The page informed netizens of multiple social media posts on Nard’s supposed demise adding the Montgomery artist got into a car accident in December 2023.
While there has been no confirmation whether Super Nard has actually passed away, fans flocked to the comments to share their thoughts. Some believed the news and sent condolences to his family. A few others shared their skepticism over the report.
Some people pointed out that the rapper did not share any posts on social media in recent months.
One Facebook user accused the government of being involved in Nard's death, claiming the rapper was earning a fame that surpassed the city.
It is to be noted that Montgomery's Hood News' intro on Facebook reads:
"News. The Hood Way. For satirical purposes only.".
Thus, it is unclear whether the post about Super Nard's death is authentic or fabricated.
Super Nard's family shared an update on his health back in December 2023
On December 21, 2023, Facebook user and seemingly a family member, Scooter Johnson, shared a post on Super Nard’s health update supposedly after his accident. Johnson thanked everyone who sent their prayers and support for the rapper. He added:
"Due to his injuries he is working hard on recovering, so continue to keep him in your thoughts and prayers!"
On January 13, 2024, Scooter Johnson shared another post where he asked Nard’s well-wishers to join a gathering held at Montgomery's Abraham Baptist Church to pray for the rapper.
"Nard is doing better, still looking good and fighting everyday to get out! God bless you all!"
Not much is known about how Nard met with the alleged car accident. A post shared on April 22 on what appears to be the rapper's second Instagram account showed him on the hospital bed. Though he was conscious, likely a medical staff or a family member took care of him. From the picture of a visiting card shared on the post, it can be noted that Nard was reportedly admitted to Montgomery's Baptist Medical Center South.
In a 2019 interview with DGB Media, Nard shared that T.I. was his favorite rapper growing up. Nard mentioned the late Alabama rapper Doe B and how he got inspired by him to make music. Two of his most streamed tracks include #WWBJD, and Can't Be F*ck Wit.
From Nard's Instagram posts on his previous account, it appears he has a 2-year-old daughter whom he often posted on his feed.
