Who is Suzi Siegel? Diddy's former assistant reacts to footage of rapper assaulting Cassie, explains why she was not surprised

Recently CNN released a security footage of March 5, 2016, which showed rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Cassie, in a hotel hallway in Los Angeles.

Once the clip went viral, Diddy’s long-time ex-assistant Suzi Siegel was invited by CNN to give an interview and her input on the clip.

When Suzi was shown the footage, she shared that even though it was really disturbing, she wasn’t surprised. When asked why by the host, she said:

“You know, it's gonna sound a little weird, because I don’t have any facts. Right, and nobody’s gonna call me to testify. But I would say that it’s woman’s intuition. I would say that I was around him a lot and I got a feeling for who he was”.

Suzi Siegel assisted Diddy for a long time. She was also working as a crime reporter in Detroit. She had previously written travel articles for Marie Claire magazine and currently stays in Jackson Heights, in Queens.

Suzi hails from the Bronx, New York. She is a former award-winning criminal reporter who now writes about travel. She has contributed articles to Marie Claire about international fashion. She also wrote about murder and mayhem for the Detroit Free Press.

Furthermore, she is also the author of the book, Tiny New York, which deals with the smallest things in the largest metropolis.

Her LinkedIn bio mentions that she is a writer, journalist, and a pioneer in digital marketing. She has further stated in the bio that she can perform the advanced analysis and strategic thinking required to put firms in the best possible positions for growth.

On the other hand, her Muck Buck bio says:

Her “sweet spots include project management, public relations, copywriting and editing, managing teams of writers, thought leadership pieces, op-eds, SEO-driven blog content, speeches, decks + social campaigns."

It further reported that she works as a subject matter specialist. It also said that she writes about various topics like charity foundations, criminal justice, vaping, K-12 education, government, tourism, fashion, public policy, etc.

Moreover, in 2008, she won a competition to become Diddy's assistant. A reality show called I Want To Work For Diddy aired on VH1. The competition brought together 13 contestants to determine who would be Sean Combs' assistant.

Ultimately, Suzanne 'Suzi' Siegel was selected to be his assistant. Following the final episode, in August 2008, the Bronx Times published an article about the same. In the article, 37-year-old Suzi explained her somewhat unorthodox way of entering the show.

She said:

"Most people were lined up around the block. In reality, I was browsing the internet for jobs."

The video footage revealed Diddy's action

The CNN released clip of March 5, 2016, showed the rapper assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura.

At the beginning of the clip, Ventura is seen trying to put her shoes on while waiting for the hotel elevator. Then, as she was trying to take all her bags and get inside the elevator, the rapper was seen running down the hall to her while holding a towel around his waist.

In the video, the rapper could be seen throwing Cassie down violently after grabbing her by her neck. Moreover, Diddy is also seen kicking his ex-girlfriend twice before dragging her away through the hotel hallway. The rapper was also seen throwing an object at his ex-girlfriend after attempting to drag her.

Diddy's former assistant Suzy in a recent interview shared that as she had spent a lot of time with him, and had developed an impression of him. She claimed that she kind of knew what was going on, and was not surprised by the recent revealation.


Following the event, Diddy has yet to release a comment regarding the video.
