Miller further mentioned in the statement that he had known Tommy for "over 50 years" and called him a "very, very dear friend." He also said that the singer was a "loyal supporter" of the user. Miller asked fans to keep Tommy's wife, Marcy, and the rest of his family in their prayers.

Here's Tommy Cash: Late country singer released his debut album in 1968
While Johnny was an legendary country musician, his younger brother Tommy Cash also had an impressive music career. He was born on April 5, 1940 in Dyess, Arkansas, and the youngest among seven siblings. He worked as a radio DJ for the Armed Forces after enlisting with the US Army. Later, he performed with Hank Williams Jr. in his band.
However, it was in 1965 that his solo career made a trajectory. He got his first record deal, and in three years, he dropped his debut album, Here's Tommy Cash (1968). The project was a success and the singer scored his first placement in the Billboard Top 10 Hot Country Songs.
His song Six White Horses peaked at No.4 in 1970, which was his biggest hit to date. He had two other tracks that made it to the top 10 hits, namely One Song Away and Rise and Shine.
Throughout his career, Cash pursued being a solo performer but he also teamed up with his big brother. They worked on the 1990s anthem Guess Things Happen That Way. He carried on the Cash legacy after Johnny Cash passed away in 2003.
Along with his music career, Cash ventured into the movie scene as well. He appeared in the 2016 teen flick The River Thief, where he played Marty alongside Paul Johansson. He was a guitar-strumming, Bible-quoting old man and homeowner in the movie.
As per his LinkedIn profile, the singer also had a career as a realtor. In January 2020, The Tennessean reported that he helped arrange the sale of Johnny and June Carter Cash's house after they passed away. The couple lived in that house for 30 years and it was sold out for $3.2 million.
Tommy Cash is survived by his wife, Marcy Benefield Cash, whom he wed in 2001.
