On October 28, 2024, RaphouseTV News shared a post on their official X account that Lil Durk’s Only The Family (OTF) member, YFG Fatso, was purportedly arrested. Several other media outlets like No Jumper also reported the same. YFG Fatso is a 17-year-old up-and-coming rap artist from Chicago.

This comes less than a week after 32-year-old Lil Durk was himself arrested by the feds in connection to the alleged murder-for-hire plot against Atlanta rapper Quando Rondo, as reported by Associated Press. This eventually killed Rondo's cousin Saviay’a Robinson aka Lul Pab in August 2022 at a Los Angeles gas station.

So far, it remains unclear whether YFG Fatso’s alleged arrest is in any way connected to Lil Durk’s last week’s arrest, and when exactly it happened.

Exploring who YFG Fatso is amid Lil Durk’s ongoing legal troubles

YFG Fatso, mononymously known as Fatso, is a Chicago-based teenage rapper. He gained popularity last year when his works began to be promoted online by local artist Chief Wuk and music producer DJ Bandz. Later, he was signed by Lil Durk to his OTF label.

Some of Fatso’s notable songs include ScarFace, High Speed Games, Solo Steppin’, Racing, Reap the City, Leavin’, Rylo Rod, Unusual Slander (Free 3.0), Princeton Freestyle, and Bougie H*es among others. His first studio album No Privacy was dropped in November 2023. YFG Fatso has over 75,700 subscribers on his official YouTube channel.

Other OTF members have also been recently arrested

Billboard reported that five of Lil Durk's OTF associates were arrested on October 24, 2024. This happened a day before Lil Durk was picked up by the U.S. Marshals in South Florida for Quando Rondo’s alleged murder-for-hire plot and the fatal shooting of Lul Pab,

According to the US Attorney's Office website, feds took into custody five men, including Kavon London Grant aka Vonnie, Deandre Dontrell Wilson aka DeDe, Keith Jones aka Flacka, David Brian Lindsey aka Browneyez, and Asa Houston aka Boogie.

While they were reportedly arraigned at Chicago’s Dirksen U.S. Courthouse and detained on the orders of U.S. Magistrate Judge Jeffery Gilbert, their federal indictment was unsealed at the U.S. District Court in Los Angeles. Notably, just like Durk, they are scheduled to be extradited to LA this week where Lul Pab was murdered in August 2022.

Prosecutors claimed that the five suspects used rental cars and flights for the crime and paid for them using OTF-linked credit cards in exchange for “lucrative music opportunities,” allegedly offered by an OTF official.

As per the prosecutors, Lul Pab’s fatal shooting was originally meant for Quando Rondo. They further alleged that it was in retaliation for the November 2020 murder of King Von, another OTF member and Durk’s friend, mentee, and collaborator.

This is not the first time Durk has had legal troubles. In 2019, AP News reported that he and the late King Von, who was a suspected member of the Chicago street gang Black Disciples, were charged in Atlanta with a drive-by-shooting. It resulted in a man's leg injury. However, in 2022, charges against the Remember the Name rapper were dropped, two years after Von's murder.

Before this, Chicago Sun-Times cited court records in 2014 and reported that the Grammy winner pleaded guilty to felony aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and felony possession of a firearm. He was allegedly caught carrying a gun on the streets of his hometown. However, he didn't receive prison time for the charges.
