In March 2024, Channel 2′s Michael Seiden confirmed Atlanta police arrested Anti Da Menace, real name Linderius Cortez Johnson, under multiple charges, including armed robbery.
On July 15, 2024, Terrell Davis, better known by the stage name Ralo, took to his Instagram account and claimed that he paid $130,000 for Johnson's bail with his legal money.
There is no publicly known personal relationship between Anti Da Menace and Ralo beyond their connection within the Atlanta rap scene.
Why was Anti Da Menace arrested? Ralo's $130,000 legal bond payment explained
The Atlanta Police Department took into custody the rapper for participating in criminal street gang activity, robbery, and other allegations.
As per WSBTV 2, the rapper Anti Da Menace was presented in the court in Fulton County on March 21, 2024, for the first time. The details of the court hearing have not been revealed, but according to the publication, a source from jail confirmed that the Atlanta-based rapper remained behind bars.
The rapper was arrested days after releasing Banned from da A on March 4, 2024, on his YouTube channel. The collaborative song with Smith allegedly stated his connections to a gang and recounted his previous interactions with the police. He rapped, suggesting that he was prepared to get involved in violent conflicts with the Atlanta Police Department (APD).
"The difference between me and y'all [expletive] / I really shot sum with my pistol / I'm talking bout lay in a [expletive] woods as soon as if he come out we gon clip em / I'm on that [expletive] got a full clip on the mountain with gravediggers... It's time to feed them to the dogs / I had my blick in Lennox Mall / I'm ready to shootout with APD / Them [expletive] ain't touching me at all."
It remains unclear how his legal proceedings will unfold. However, amid the controversy, fellow Atlanta rapper Ralo has supported Anti Da Menace. Ralo made headlines by announcing he paid Anti Da Menace's $130,000 bond using "legal money."
Earlier this week, Ralo posted a picture of Anti Da Menace sourced from No Jumper on his Instagram account and captioned the post calling Johnson a "brother." He stated that the bond money he paid came from his earnings from his first show and assured that no funds from drug or gang-related activities were used for the Atlanta-based rapper's release —
"I paid this brother bond with legal money from my backend of my first show. Wasn't drug nor Gang money used to help him with his freedom."
In a separate post shared on Facebook on July 15, 2024, Ralo is inside a bail bonding agency, A 2nd Chance Bail Bonds, holding cash in hand, with additional stacks of cash visible on the desk. Ralo captioned the post suggesting that he woke up and immediately went to pay the bail —
"Woke up went and paid Lil Anti bond."
The rapper did not provide a specific reason for explicitly mentioning that he paid the bond with his first show money rather than funds derived from drugs or gangs. However, this distinction may be connected to his past legal issues, particularly those involving drug possession.
In April 2018, the rapper was arrested by the Atlanta Police Department after authorities discovered marijuana valued at $1 million on his plane at Dekalb-Peachtree Airport in Atlanta. According to the Economic Times, Ralo was initially sentenced to five years of imprisonment.
However, in February 2019, Ralo's attorney said that he had declined a five-year plea deal, and as a result, he was sentenced to eight years in prison. Reportedly, Ralo's good behavior in prison reduced his total time there, and he was released in November 2023.
The specific details regarding Anti Da Menace's release following the bond are not known for now.
