Shakira's 'Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour,' scheduled to begin in February 2025, has already become a major topic of discussion. On Tuesday, several fans of Taylor Swift accused the Colombian singer of allegedly picking up several elements from 'The Eras Tour' for her own concerts.

The remarks from the Swifties began coming after news about this upcoming tour breaking a record made by The Eras Tour went public. Taylor initially held the record of having four consecutive sold-out shows at Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico City. Shakira broke the record with five sold-out shows at the stadium.

Netizens flooded the internet claiming that the Colombian singer had copied the 34-year-old popstar. Swifties even alleged that the Hips Don't Lie hitmaker and her team allegedly copied Taylor's choreography. Here are some popular responses found on X.

I like shakira but...why can't she be at least a BIT original. well...at least we can say the eras tour had a SIGNIFICANT amount of impact on future tours."

A netizen wrote:

"Did she go to the eras tour at some point or no?"
"Imagine if taylor had copied another artist there would have been murder," explained another user.
"She also has a a jump into the water lol I think she and her team studied the eras tour to make something. 🔥🔥🔥🔥" added a tweet.

While many Swifties criticized Shakira for her upcoming tour, many netizens defended the singer. A user tweeted:

"She has so many hits that people of all ages know. Just because she might take inspiration from Taylor doesn’t take away from her success or impact."
"She is a QUEEN and she loves Taylor!" commented another netizen.
"Do you really think Taylor invented the wheel? Who do you think introduced the stage that turns into stairs? Madonna in 2012. Do your homework," explained a fan.

Shakira had previously announced four shows at the Estadio GNP Seguros stadium before announcing the fifth one

Estadio GNP Seguros reportedly has a capacity of 65,000 people. The South American songstress announced the fifth sold-out show on social media by writing:

"Mexico dear, five dates at the Estadio GNP... we broke the record."

The Daily Mail reported that she had to delay the dates of the North American leg of her world tour in order to shift the show venues from arenas to larger stadiums. This decision, however, didn't sit well with fans who had already booked tickets before the change was made. On Friday, Shakira took to Instagram and wrote:

"The demand for tickets and more shows has reached the point that our tour now requires stadiums in the USA and more dates so I can see as many of you as possible."

The upcoming tour will be organized to promote the singer's twelfth studio album Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, which was released in March 2024. This was her first album release in the last seven years after El Dorado, which came out in 2017.

Some popular singles from the album are Te Felicito, Monotonío, Acróstico, El Jefe, and Copa Vacía.
