Brendan Paul, who allegedly was Sean "Diddy" Combs' drug mule got his charges dropped in his felony drug case filed in Florida. In March, authorities detained Paul for possession of cocaine and marijuana, as per reports by PEOPLE. The news about him walking free, was told to the outlet by his lawyer, Brian Bieber on Tuesday, December 17, 2024.

The alleged mule entered a plea deal in May 2024, which meant he could avoid jail time. At the time, Bieber told PEOPLE:

"Brendan accepted the prosecutor’s offer to permit his entry into the diversion program which, after completion, the case against him will be dismissed in its entirety."

In the latest statement, the attorney further confirmed that Brendan Paul had finished his pre-trial diversion program. The court is offered to first-time offenders. As per reports by PEOPLE, Paul was charged with felony cocaine possession in April, after his arrest in March. The other charge related to possessing marijuana was then dropped.

At the time, Brendan entered a not guilty plea. PEOPLE obtained an affidavit which revealed that he was arrested by the Miami-Dade police who were working alongside Homeland Security agents, responsible for raiding Diddy's residences in March. On March 27, Bieber told PEOPLE:

"We do not plan on trying this case in the media — all issues will be dealt with in court."

Federal sources have further told TMZ that the deal involving Brendan Paul was related to the drug possession case and not the Diddy case.

Brendan Paul's name was mentioned in the civil lawsuit that was filed by producer Lil Rod

While Brendan walked free from his drug possession case after entering the plea deal in May 2024, it is worth noting that Paul's name was highlighted in a lawsuit connected to Diddy. Producer Lil Rod filed a civil s*xual assault lawsuit earlier this year in February, against the music mogul.

In the suit, the producer and videographer claimed that Paul was Diddy's mule and his job apparently was to "aquire" and "distribute" the mogul's "drugs and guns." Lil Rod even made claims according to which he had personally witnessed Brendan Paul getting engaged in the aforementioned activities.

The producer also accused Paul of negotiating fees for the s*x workers whom Diddy apparently hired, as mentioned by USA Today.

Brendan's arrest was, however, reportedly not connected to Diddy's arrest and the allegations against the mogul. After all the charges against Paul recently got dropped, his lawyer told NBC6 on Tuesday:

"Mr. Paul’s case was formally dismissed today – in its entirety."

As for Diddy, he remains in jail after facing several charges including s*x trafficking, racketeering, and transportation for prostitution. The mogul who is now detained at the Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, until his trial begins in May 2025.

Combs has, however, denied the allegations made. The rapper has also been denied bail about three times since his arrest. According to reports by PEOPLE, Diddy could face decades in prison if he is found guilty of the grave charges against him.
