Geri Horner, formerly Geri Halliwell, has returned to using her maiden name in a new Dior commercial. This decision follows a scandal involving her husband, F1 CEO Christian Horner, who was accused of sending explicit messages to a female colleague.
The woman, in her 40s, filed a complaint against Christian, alleging coercive behavior, though he denied involvement. However, the New Zealand Herald reported that the woman is upset with the circumstances, particularly the way her five-year employer handled the complaint.
Meanwhile, apart from Horner’s scandal, Geri has also made the news for recently ditching all the colored costumes and wearing white all the time.
The mother-of-two gave her reasoning for dressing all in white in an interview with The Sunday Times Style. She said—
"There’s a power in covering up. I didn’t realise that. I don’t need to overshare."
Spice Girl Geri Halliwell reverted to maiden name amidst her husband’s scandal
In a recent Dior commercial, Geri Horner, also known as a Spice Girl, returned to using her maiden name amid a scandal involving her husband, Christian Horner, the F1 boss. He was accused of sending inappropriate messages to a female colleague, though he was found not guilty.
However, the scandal continues as 149 people, including FIA head Mohammed Ben Sulayem and F1 team leader Stefano Domenicali, received screenshots of the alleged text messages. This has put Horner in a challenging situation.
The New Zealand Herald has reported that in the video during the Dior event, Halliwell addressed the camera and declared-
"C'est moi Geri, Geri Halliwell."
Which translated in English as-
"It's me Geri, Geri Halliwell."
It happened at the same time when the Spice Girl's husband was cleared of charges for allegedly sending inappropriate texts to a female worker. Additionally, citing an unnamed source close to the accused victim, the New Zealand Herald said-
“Questions need to be asked of the Red Bull investigation, transparency would bring confidence in what is happening to her.”
However, an internal investigation was started into his alleged "inappropriate behavior" even though Horner denied any misbehavior.
As per various reports, Christian reaffirmed his dedication to his team and denied any talk of resigning when questioned about the inquiry. He was also exonerated of any misconduct by Red Bull, Horner's team.
Meanwhile, apart from reverting to her maiden name amidst her husband’s scandal, Geri has also made the news for wearing white all the time.
Geri Halliwell's representatives have not provided any word on any news outlet’s request for comment as of yet.
