Memphis rapper Gloria Hallelujah Woods, better known as GloRilla was arrested for driving under the influence on April 16. The 24-year-old was charged with possession of an open container while operating a vehicle, DUI, and failure to obey a traffic control device on Tuesday morning in Suwanee, Georgia.

The bodycam footage of the incident was shared by TMZ where the conversation between the rapper and the cops was recorded.

The police arrested Woods after she made a U-turn at a traffic red light. An officer then pulled the rapper over and immediately noticed her bloodshot and watery eyes. The officer also found the stench of marijuana and alcohol in her breath as well as in the vehicle.

The cop further noticed her sentences were incoherent and “she had a hard time finishing her thoughts”. Another officer had to help conduct field sobriety testing. According to the police report, the “On Wat U On” performer struggled throughout the evaluations. GloRilla also refused to cooperate with taking a portable breath test.

GloRilla admits to having alcohol before DUI arrest

In the bodycam footage, the police officer could be heard introducing herself to GloRilla and telling her why the rapper was pulled over. As the cop mentioned Woods disobeying the red light, the 24-year-old said she was only following her GPS.

The officer asked for her driver’s license and instructed her to turn into the other lane to clear the roadway. She assured Woods she would flash her lights to signal cars passing by the road to avoid a collision.

The clip then cut to the scene when GloRilla supposedly took her car into a safe lane where the officer asked her if she had been drinking that night. The rapper refused at first. However, the officer insisted she could smell alcohol right away when Woods rolled down the window.

When the cop further asked her how many drinks she had that night, Woods smiled and said:

"I'm cool. Yeah, I ain't drunk or nothing."

Later when the officer told Woods she had to inspect the vehicle, the rapper informed her she had a gun in the car. After a few more questions, GloRilla admitted she had consumed some alcohol earlier in the evening, but denied that she got intoxicated. The cop wrote in the report:

“I asked Woods how much she had consumed and what beverages she had consumed; however, Woods continued to relay that it does not matter and she was good to drive.”

At one point, the rapper asked the cop:

"Do you know who I am?"

During the search, an open bottle of alcoholic beverage, and marijuana were found. While the officers were putting her in handcuffs, the rapper asked if she could pass water on the side of the road.

As seen in the footage, Woods did not seem physically uncooperative with the officers.

The rapper was booked into Gwinnett County Jail from 6:12 a.m. to 9:41 a.m. She was later released on a $1956 bond. It was unclear from the jail records whether the rapper had an attorney who spoke on her behalf.
