Singer Gwen Stefani took to Instagram stories on Saturday, August 10, 2024, to announce the cancellation of her upcoming concert in Atlantic City. She explained that the concert had to be canceled since she was injured. Stefani was expected to perform at Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena on Saturday, August 17, 2024.
In her Instagram stories, the 54-year-old singer apologized to her fans for the cancellation, adding that she had to do so on her doctor's advice. She also wrote that her team was looking at a different date for the concert.
"As a result of a recent injury and in consultation with my doctors, I’ve been advised that I’m not able to perform on August 17 at Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena in Atlantic City," the singer wrote.
Gwen Stefani also confirmed that Ticketmaster will contact everyone affected by the date change. She further noted that the tickets for the canceled show will work for the new show as well.
It is worth noting that the nature of Stefani's injury is unclear as of right now. Additionally, there has been no update or statement about the singer's other shows or whether they would be affected by the injury.

The news of the cancellation came just a few weeks after the singer officially dropped Hello World, the song of the 2024 Olympics, in collaboration with Anderson .Paak and Ryan Tedder. The three artists tied up with the Coca-Cola Company and the International Olympic Committee for the release of the track.
In a statement to People Magazine, she said that the artists hoped that the song "inspires positivity" as the world celebrated the Olympic Games.
"We are thrilled to officially launched 'Hello World' for Paris 2024 in partnership with The Coca-Cola Company and the International Olympic Committee (IOC). We hope 'Hello World' inspires positivity as the world comes together to celebrate the Olympic Games," Stefani said.
Anderson .Paak told the outlet that it was an honor to collaborate with Stefani and Ryan Tedder. He added that with the song, they hoped to inspire fans and athletes to "come together and celebrate the magic of Paris 2024."
The track was released on July 25, 2024, a day before the Paris Olympics' opening ceremony. According to Fox News, Gwen Stefani mentioned that she hoped that the song would attract positivity and bring the world together.
