Dunwoody police officer found marijuana inside King Harris' car

As WSB-TV reported, King Harris almost hit a Dunwoody police cruiser while pulling out from a gas station as he spotted an officer coming out. Soon after, the officer pulled King’s BMW over.

Upon nearing King’s vehicle, the officer smelled marijuana. While speaking to T.I.’s son, the officer also noticed King was possessing a gun. As the officer checked his record, they discovered King had an outstanding warrant.

According to the complaint, the arresting officer told King Harris he would need to step out of the car so that they could talk. The officer opened King’s side of the car’s door and seized the firearm from him.

They remarked the 20-year-old cooperated with the order and no struggle was required while removing the gun. The statement continued:

"I then had Mr. Harris step out of the vehicle and I detained him by placing handcuffs on him. I escorted Mr. Harris to my patrol vehicle, conducted a pat down, and placed him into the rear of my vehicle."

According to the Dunwoody police officer, two more people were present in the BMW and once they stepped out of the car, two small pouches filled with marijuana were found which were less than one ounce in quantity.

King Harris was booked into DeKalb County Jail while his two companions are now facing marijuana possession charges. King was released the next day and handed over to Pickens County, where his previous warrant was recalled.

This is not the first time King Harris had a run-in with law enforcement.

In August 2022, he faced legal charges for driving under the influence, driving a car with a suspended license, and speeding.
