Sean "Diddy" Combs' former producer, Lil Rod, recently attended 50 Cent's Humor & Harmony Weekend in Shreveport. Meanwhile, Uncle Murda, who seemingly ran across Rod, posted a video with him on Instagram and wrote in the caption,
"I ran into the n**ga that accused Diddy of all that weird sh*t #TheProducer. Homie want his money by Monday. Everybody was outside Humor & Harmony Vibes Whoaaaaaa Sh*t Crazy #NoDiddy."
Lil Rod, better known as Rodney Jones, could be heard talking briefly in the video Uncle Murga captured. He said,
"I'm from Chicago. We don't play about our business."
Trigger warning: The article contains references to sexual assault. Readers' discretion is advised.
For the unversed, Jones had filed a lawsuit against Diddy in which the charges involved were related to sex trafficking of minors, sexual misconduct, and forced drugging, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
50 Cent later reshared Uncle Murda's video on his Instagram feed and wrote a caption that read:
"Hey everyone was invited, it was the place to be that weekend. What you want me to do? LOL."
In the video, Murda's remark about "wanting the money by Monday" could reference 50 Cent telling Young Buck that he "needed" his "money by Monday" after Buck filed for bankruptcy.
Lil Rod reportedly spent several months in Diddy's close circle asking for help to find information against him
Music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs has lately found himself in the middle of several lawsuits. It all started in November last year when Cassie Ventura sued him for assault. The lawsuit was, however, withdrawn immediately. Later, Rodney Jones or Lil Rod accused the mogul of operating a "widespread and dangerous criminal sex trafficking organization."
The former producer was hired by Diddy in 2022 to work on his project, which eventually became his fifth album, The Love Album: Off the Grid, released in 2023. The massive lawsuit against Diddy began with a GoFundMe fundraiser, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
The purpose of the fundraiser was to get financial aid to take on the music mogul who allegedly was ripping him off. In the fundraiser, Lil Rod wrote:
"I find myself fighting for my producer's rates (money), publishing shares, and royalties for works done on this project. For... past 6 months, my team and I have extended every opportunity we knew possible to have these matters addressed and resolved (fairly) but in private. However, Diddy's negotiation tactics, to stall communications... has forced me here!"
It was reported that as of April, $4,965 was raised out of the targetted amount of $50,000. While Jones was busy trying to get back at Diddy, the mogul's lawyers described him as a conman. The team further added that his claims against Diddy were completely untrue and that they had sufficient evidence to prove the same.
In the suit against Diddy, Rod also claimed several record executives who knew about his parties didn't speak up since they gained from having access to big shots. While so many suits and allegations had been filed against him, Diddy has seemingly denied a lot of them.
