Jane's Addiction recently apologized for a dispute between Perry Farrell and Dave Navarro on September 13, 2024, during a performance in Boston. Notably, Perry was singing when he slammed himself into Dave and the former began shouting at Navarro. Farrell was trying to keep Navarro away from him and Perry then reportedly punched Dave.

Perry's wife Etty said in an Instagram post that the incident was a result of his frustration, which emerged from the problems with his voice, which was "drowned out" since the volume on stage was too high. The band shared a statement through their Instagram Story the following day which reads:

"We want to extend a heartfelt apology for the events that unfolded last night. As a result we will be cancelling tomorrow night's show in Bridgeport."

The punching was recorded and went viral on different platforms. Jane's Addiction performed on only 11 tracks until the show ended and Perry was stopped by other band members. Perry and Dave were spotted shouting at each other while performing and the former allegedly began hitting Navarro.

On the other hand, an official response is currently awaited from the organizers of the concert. Variety stated that Jane's Addiction's last few performances were reported to have certain issues, including with the voice of Perry, who told the attendees in New York City last week that he was having trouble singing.

Perry Farrell's wife speaks up on the dispute that happened during Jane's Addiction's performance

As mentioned, Jane's Addiction members had a feud during one of their performances on Friday. While the incident was recorded and fans reacted to the same, Perry Farrell's wife Etty Lau opened up about everything that happened through an Instagram post on Saturday, September 14.

Etty shared a video of the dispute where Perry and Dave were fighting each other and wrote that she would like to reveal more details on what happened on that night.

Etty wrote that there had been a lot of issues between Jane's Addiction's members and the "magic that made the band so dynamic." Etty also revealed that Perry was suffering from tinnitus and sore throat, and added:

"But when the audience in the first row, started complaining up to Perry cussing at him that the band was planning too loud and that they couldn't hear him, Perry lost it."

Etty elaborated on the circumstances leading to the dispute, saying that Jane's Addiction began by performing on the single Ocean and that Perry was screaming towards the end so that people could hear him. Etty even disclosed more details about the fight and stated:

"While Dave was keeping Perry at arm's length to de-escalate the situation. Dan rushed over to de-escalate as well by holding Perry back. Dave walked away to take his guitar off. Eric walked up to Perry, upstage, in the dark, behind Dan, put Perry in a headlock and punched him in the stomach three times."

Etty wrote that Navarro was looking normal when the dispute happened. She claimed that although Farrell was not in control and was looking like a "crazed beast", he began crying at one point.

Although Jane's Addiction has already apologized for the incident, they are yet to reveal more details on the situations that led to the dispute.
