Polo G’s previous legal troubles explored
While Polo G found himself in hot waters on October 19, 2024, for allegedly overspeeding, it is worth noting that this has not been his first run-in with the law. In June 2021, Associated Press reported that the rapper was arrested in Miami for resisting a police officer, however, he was detained for a brief period and later released.
Thereafter, Los Angeles Times reported that Polo G’s home in Los Angeles was raided by the authorities in August 2023. During the search, they found multiple weapons and he was charged with the alleged possession of a gun and firearms.
Another similar instance where Polo G was found with a gun was in April 2024. He was arrested in New York after a cleaning staff at The Dominick Hotel notified the police regarding the weapon. At the time, a spokesperson for the NYPD confirmed to Billboard that the rapper was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a firearm.
On the other hand, the rapper's arrest comes at a point where he is all set to start his Polo G The Hood Poet Tour. Featuring artists like VONOFF1700 and Skilla Baby, the rapper will embark on the tour on October 24 and will conclude it on November 29, 2024.
Throughout these months, Polo will perform at various locations like Denver, Chicago, St. Louis, Detroit, New York, Montclair, Boston, San Fransisco, San Diego, Washington, Atlanta, New Orleans, Houston, Dallas, Austin and even Los Angeles.
At the moment, the rapper is enjoying the success of his album, Hood Poet, which was released in August 2024. Featuring numerous artists like Offset, Lil Durk and even The Kid Laroi, the album consists of 18 songs, namely Rain Falling, No Turning Back, Darkside, Bad Kids, Detox, Thorns, Father’s Day and even From the Heart.
Regarding his most recent run-in with the law and authorities, it has not been confirmed if the rapper would have to appear in court for a hearing. Moreover, neither Polo nor his attorneys have released any statement on the matter yet.
