In her memoir Who's That Girl?, rapper Eve recalled an "uncomfortable" incident with iconic boxer Mike Tyson. The 45-year-old Grammy-winning rapper's memoir was recently published on September 17, 2024. She also wrote about how The LOX tried to confront Tyson after her interaction with Tyson.
Eve wrote:
"One time, Mike Tyson tried talking to me crazy when I was out with The LOX. The guys saw I was noticeably uncomfortable, and they were about to fight Mike Tyson to protect me. Literally, Styles P, Jadakiss, and Sheek Louch were building a strategy around how they were going to potentially gang up on Iron Mike."
This wasn't the first time that the interaction was mentioned. The LOX had previously opened up about it back in 2020 when they made an appearance on Drink Champs. N.O.R.E claimed in the podcast that Mike Tyson allegedly told Eve:
"I’ll f*ck the sh*t outta you."
The LOX then shared their insights into their planning about how to confront Tyson. Style P claimed that Sheek Louch "volunteered for the blow" since he was physically the biggest one among the three.
Styles P further claimed that they felt obligated to protect Eve, and thus, decided to confront the boxer.
Mike Tyson reportedly was quite close to The LOX, which further made it difficult for them to confront him
As mentioned before, the incident that Eve had cited in her recently released memoir, had been mentioned a number of times in the past. In October 2022 Styles P again recalled the incident while making an appearance on Hotboxin with Mike Tyson.
According to Styles, Tyson was extremely close to the group, thus, making the situation even more difficult. At one point in the conversation, Styles mentioned that they used to hang out together. He continued that the group and Tyson had "got rapport" and "chilled" together.
Styles added that the group was present at the event along with Eve, who then had the aftermentioned interaction with the legendary boxer. While the entire group wanted to confront Tyson, none of them wanted to potentially take a hit from him. In the 2022 conversation, Styles P recalled the event and said:
"Vegas or L.A., it's one of them awards. We see Mike, we're chilling. Eve is with us, though — us three, there's nobody else there. And [Mike's] on his bully and we decided, 'We gotta protect Eve.' We was deciding who was gonna get knocked out. I was like, 'I got a knife. Mike's gonna kill us!'"
The LOX member Styles continued by stating that Tyson was present at the event too, and liked Eve for how she was looking. He even said that when they were planning how to carry out the confrontation, they first chose Sheek Louch to take the blow from Tyson. Louch, however, immediately denied it.
In an article published by Complex, dated September 27, it was further mentioned that Mike Tyson had later made amends with Eve by apologizing for his behavior.
