Landon Barker has been in the spotlight since he was reportedly photographed attending a Sean “Diddy” Combs-themed birthday party. Several videos started floating on multiple platforms, showing Barker supposedly attending a party where waiters carried bottles of baby oil, which was allegedly in reference to Diddy's arrest. He took to TikTok to deny the same, as he said:
"I'd like to come on here and apologize and address the fact that people are saying I had this whole-themed birthday party. First off, I've not had a birthday party. My birthday party is next week."
As Landon Barker's statement made its way on social media, he was met with another round of criticism from the masses, as many people started reacting to the video. A Reddit user (r/Fauxmoi) also posted the video on the platform, and another user (u/Comfortable-Load-904) responded with the following comment:
“Why would he think that was appropriate in the first place? Which part of this situation is funny? Is it the abuse, drugging people without their consent, the sexual assault or the trafficking? The lack of empathy and compassion for the victims is disgusting and that was not an apology.”
Others also criticized Barker, saying that his apology wasn't enough.
For the unversed, the baby oils reference came out after the authorities unveiled that the rapper had several bottles of baby oils and lubes which were allegedly used in his “freak offs.”
Meanwhile, other comments in response to Barker's video read:
“I have no idea of what's going on at this point” — Details explored as Landon Barker claims to be unaware of the Diddy-themed party
In his video, Landon Barker claimed how he and his family were in Noby to celebrate his birthday and later ended up in a club with his friends. The singer said he was unaware of the theme due to “the dark environment.” He said:
"It was a dark environment and all I could really see was another table having flashing bottles being brought out. The bottles had flashing lights underneath them, so I wasn't able to distinguish what they were. I'm just thinking they're bringing out tequila with the bottle. I have no idea of what's going on at this point."
Landon Barker also stated that once the tables arrived on the table, he noticed the shape. He added:
"I didn't pick up the bottle once and I did not condone. I just went to a club to celebrate my birthday and ended up in a bad situation."
Landon Barker then concluded the video by apologizing, as he claimed that the party or the theme was not his idea, and he “never wanted that to happen.”
All of the fiasco took place a month after Diddy was arrested on September 16, 2024, following a grand jury indictment in New York. The rapper has now been charged with multiple crimes like s*x trafficking, racketeering, and fraud.
