Kendrick Lamar shared a photo of a worn-out Nike Air Force 1s on September 11, 2024. Eagle-eyed fans noticed that the photo of the sneakers seemed linked to a listing on eBay, where the seller was selling the pair for $70.

The pair of sneakers was sold on September 11 by an account named "rap and drip," with a label describing the item as "Vintage Nike Air Force 1 ‘82 Low ‘Black Black’ 315122-001 Men’s Size 12," shortly after the Instagram post was shared.

It is, however, unclear if it was Lamar who bought the shoes or if he had just used the photo for creative purposes.

This led to several speculations where fans and netizens wondered if Lamar got the shoes. He is known to incorporate interesting symbolism and references in his regular work.

Meanwhile, Kendrick Lamar had released his new track, allegedly titled Watch The Party Die, on his Instagram feed. This was the first song that he officially dropped since his hit track Not Like Us, which was initially released during his beef with Drake.

Lamar had also been in headlines after he was chosen as the performer for the upcoming Super Bowl halftime show, to be held in February 2025.

Many speculated that the photo of the worn-out sneakers on Kendrick Lamar's feet was possibly a response to Drake

As mentioned, the Not Like Us rapper had shared a photo of a pair of worn-out shoes. Fans came up with several theories to understand the thought behind it.

Meanwhile, it was claimed that he was responding to Drake's Push Ups, where the Canadian rapper seemingly mocked Kendrick Lamar's shoe size.

In the song which had been attached to the uploaded photo, Kendrick rapped:

"Just walked that man down, that’ll do everyone a solid / It’s love but tough love, sometimes you gotta result in violence."

In the rap, he further mentioned Terrace Martin, Christian rapper Lecra, and DJ Akademiks:

"The radio personality pushing propaganda for salary / Let me know when they turn up as a casualty."

The last time Lamar shared songs on Instagram, the hip-hop community got one of the most publicized beefs to ever happen in history.

In separate news, Kendrick Lamar opening the Super Bowl halftime show in February has sparked debates. While some claimed that Lil Wayne deserved the responsibility, others believed that choosing Lamar was a good decision.

They claimed that he had received several awards, including the Pulitzer Prize, making him worthy enough to get the honor.

Rolling Stone published an article on September 11, where they included a statement by Lamar on this matter, wher he said:

"Rap music is still the most impactful genre to date. And I’ll be there to remind the world why. They got the right one."

Nicki Minaj was one personality who had been quite vocal about the matter and even addressed Jay-Z questioning him about the decision of choosing Lamar.

Lamar's fanbase is, however, excited to see their favorite artist perform at the upcoming event.
