Rapper Cash Cobain has recently posted his new music, which is a tribute to the late artist, Pop Smoke. The former shared a video through his Instagram page on July 20, 2024, which included Cobain's version of Pop's popular song, For The Night.
The caption of the video reads:
"Coming soon Happy Birthday Pop Smoke it's only right @apex.visions."
Cobain's latest clip on social media also featured him rapping a few verses as a tribute to Smoke. The lyrics stated:
"I did some wrong (Oh, oh), but I'm always right (Oh, oh) / Said I know how to shoot (Oh, oh) and I know how to fight / Boy, I'll tell you once, won't tell you twice / I'm real discreet, like a thief in the night (Look)."
As soon as Cash Cobain's video went viral on different platforms, netizens took to the comments section of his Instagram post to share their responses. One of them wrote:
"If pop was here .. this would've been the collab of the century!!"
Most of the followers praised the artist for the way he paid tribute to the late rapper. A person declared the song as "platinum" and a user stated that she had been waiting for Cash Cobain's single for a long time.
Cash Cobain to join Ice Spice for the Y2K! World Tour
The Bronx native will join Ice Spice for the Y2K! World Tour this year. The tour dates were announced by Ice Spice in May. Although the tour began in Roskilde, Denmark, on July 4, 2024, Cash Cobain will join her starting July 30. Their first joint performance will be in Washington D.C., followed by shows in Philadelphia, Detroit, Denver, Houston, and more.
Tickets for the tour went on sale from June 7 this year and certain special facilities were also included in the VIP packages. On the other hand, Ice Spice's debut album, Y2K! is also confirmed to arrive on July 26, which includes four songs in the soundtrack.
Cash Cobain was trending in the headlines in June 2024 after his collaboration single with Don Toliver and Charlie Wilson, titled Attitude, managed to grab the 96th spot on the US Billboard Hot 100. It additionally remained on top of the other charts.
Attitude was later added to the soundtrack of Hardstone Psycho, an album by Don Toliver, and it came out on June 14, 2024. The project was praised by the rapper's fans alongside critics, and many popular faces from the world of hip-hop appeared in the album, including Metro Boomin and Kodak Black.
