Kanye West recently appeared on The Download podcast on Saturday, April 20, 2024, where he played the remix version of Metro Boomin and Future's song, Like That, allegedly Ye's verse aimed at Drake and J. Cole.

As per TMZ, the remix contains a new verse, which takes a dig at the Canadian rapper. As rap goes:

"It's a wrap for n***as. Where's Lucian, serve your master, n***a. You caught a little bag for your masters didn't ya. Lifetime deal I feel bad for n***as."

Kanye did not stop just there, as he also rapped for Cole:

"Y'all so out of sight, out of mind. I can't even think of a Drake line. Play J. Cole, get the p*ssy dry.”

The track also opens with the line "Yo Dot, I got you," allegedly referring to Drake’s current beef with Kendrick Lamar. Drake and Kenrick’s feud is a decade old, and the two have been releasing diss tracks against each other for a while.

However, the latest beef between the two sparked after Lamar took shots at Drake on the latest track called Like That.

Kendrick Lamar, Drake, and J. Cole’s beef explained as Kanye picks sides in a remix version of 'Like That'

While the feud between Kenrick Lamar and Drake has been going on for over a decade, the rivalry reignited when Lamar took shots at Drizzy and J.Cole on Metro Boomin and Future's Like That track from their latest album We Don't Trust You, the remix version of which Kanye played on the podcast.

In the track, Lamar had a reference to Drake and Cole’s 2023 song, First Person Shooter, as the song had lines like:

"Prince outlived Mike Jack. Fore all your dogs gettin' buried. That's a K with all these nines, he gon' see 'Pet Sematary.'"

J. Cole then responded to the diss track by releasing a surprise album on April 5, 2024, called Might Delete Later. The album had a song called 7 Minutes Drill, in which Cole stated how Lamar released "one good rap verse every 30 months."

On the other hand, Drake’s response to Lamar’s track, Like That came through his leaked song, Push Ups, which was not publicly released by Drake, but had lines where he asked how Lamar was "steppin' with a size 7 men's on." Drake also called K-Dot a “pipsqueak,” and rapped:

"Your last one bricked, you really not on s--t. They make excuses for you ’cause they hate to see me lit.”

Drizzy also took shots at Rick Ross, Future, Metro Boomin, and others in the track and asked the question of whether it was 20 vs. 1. While many believed that the song was just an AI-generated track made by a fan, the God's Plan singer cleared the rumors when he posted a picture on Instagram stories, where he showed Uma Thurman in Kill Bill facing his enemies.

A few days later, Drake officially released the song on YouTube, Apple Music, Spotify, and many other music streaming platforms. Drizzy also released another diss track on Kendrick which featured the AI voices of Tupac and Snoop Dogg.

The whole fiasco between the rappers has also brought a lot of reaction from the masses, as many have been picking sides. The whole rap war has garnered a lot of response as many social media users are pouring in their opinions on the situation. On the other hand, Kanye West played the remix version of Like That on the podcast and made it clear that he is on Lamar’s side.

While Kanye West played just a little part on the podcast, the whole remix version of the song seems to have leaked online, as many have been sharing extended clips of the song. However, at the moment, it is not clear if the leaked song is a fan-made or AI version, or Kanye’s song really leaked online.
