Doja Cat has recently posted a series of posts on X wondering whether the character Chewbacca for the Star Wars franchise is gay. On June 5, the singer asked if Chewbacca was gay, before following it up with two posts about the character's s*xuality. Her first post read:

"is chewbacca fr gay tho?"

Doja's second and third posts involved the singer speculating about the character's s*xuality, claiming he could be gay or "mother of bundles."

"Chewbacca could be gay," her second post read.

"Chewbacca is the mother of bundles," her last post said.

Fans reacted hilariously to Doja Cat's speculations, with many agreeing and others wondering why the singer was asking such questions. One fan pointed out that the character of Chewbacca in the Star Wars franchise is a "bear" with a picture of the bear flag (gay culture). The user allegedly meant to agree with Doja's views and related Chewbacca being a bear to him being gay.

Other fans joined Doja in speculating about Chewbacca's s*xual orientation, with many agreeing with her assumption and others engaging in banter with her.

Doja Cat is not the first to have wondered about Chewbacca's s*xuality. Fans have been speculating about the same for years, especially because of the character's close relationship with Han Solo in the Star Wars films. However, the makers have never confirmed or denied such speculations as of now.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight about her look on the eve of Met Gala 2024, Doja Cat revealed she wanted to wear a white T-shirt as it is "timeless." The singer also mentioned that she does not like to blend in, explaining her unconventional choice of outfit.

"I know that people are going to do flowers, but my flower of choice is the most-used flower. And it's cotton. I wanted to do a white T-shirt, also because a white T-shirt is timeless. And it felt very poetic to choose this. I knew it wasn't going to blend in too much, and I don't really like to blend in."

The singer was also spotted in several other unconventional outfits throughout the evening before the Met Gala. She had a white towel wrapped around herself and on her head while she posed outside the Mark Hotel with Vetements creative director Guram Gvasalia.

In a previous conversation with Harper's Bazaar, Doja Cat spoke about her fashion sense, explaining that she's embracing her phase of picking out the most random and weird outfits. The singer compared her style with "mashed potatoes."

“I’m in this kind of chaotic place right now when it comes to fashion, where I’ve just been going into my closet and picking out the most random, weird, not-fitting thing to mix with another thing that does not really fit. It’s like mashed potatoes. But I’m embracing that."

She stated she has a lot of "pent-up feelings and anger" within her which she wants to express through her fashion and beauty.

“It’s a little punk. It’s experimental for sure. It’s very manic. But I am going in a darker direction when it comes to visuals and fashion. I have a lot of pent-up feelings and anger, and I want to express it with beauty.”
