A tweet claiming that the newly engaged celebrity couple, Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco, are working on music together was uploaded to X on Friday, January 17. The tweet by @PopCrave, which contained a TikTok video posted by Blanco on Friday, has since gone viral, amassing around 250K views within a few hours of its upload.

Selena's fiancé posted the clip as a video reply to a fan who had commented, "Benny please make some new songs for our queen." In the video, Blanco turns the knob of a door, entering what appears to be a home studio, with Selena Gomez sitting on a couch and adjusting a microphone. As Benny greets his fiancée with a "Hi," she also responds with a "Hi," accompanied by a smile.

Netizens have since been reacting to the tweet, with one of them commenting:

Some users expressed excitement for the supposed upcoming collaboration between Selena Gomez and Blanco, calling them both "legends".

While Benny Blanco didn't reveal the details of what the couple was working on, or when it will be released, they have collaborated on music previously.

A decade ago, Blanco was the co-producer of two songs in the sophomore studio album of Gomez, Revival (2015). He worked on Kill Em with Kindness and Same Old Love. Four years later, the duo worked together on Selena Gomez's single, I Can't Get Enough, released on February 28, 2019.

The English-Spanish song was the work of Benny, Gomez, Tainy - a Puerto Rican record producer, and J Balvin - a Colombian singer. In the music video for the track, Blanco was dressed in a large teddy bear suit.

Meanwhile, the couple's most recent collaboration dropped in August 2023, when the Wolves singer released Single Soon, produced by Benny Blanco and Cashmere Cat. The track peaked at number 19 on the US Billboard Hot 100. It talks about the singer celebrating her newfound independence.
