Nicki Minaj is shutting down claims of beef with former manager Deb Antney. On Friday, July 5, 2024, the rapper took to her Instagram live to play an unreleased song as Deb and her vibed to the beats.
On Sunday, Antney appeared on the Opinionated Thruts podcast and was questioned about whether she ever reached out to Lil Kim to sort out their differences. The talent manager explained that she did, but "people" were not "willing to do that." This prompted Minaj to call out Deb in an X post, saying:
"Deb, Isn’t it funny how you left out the biggest part of the story? I didn’t ask you to do a THING!"

Debra Antney, a.k.a. Deb Antney, founder and CEO of Mizay Entertainment Management Company, managed Nicki Minaj early in her career (since 2009). While the two women have since parted ways, both have always been vocal about their love for each other.
The rapper has always credited her success to Antney, including in February 2024, when she took to her social media to praise her former manager. Minaj stated that Antney was there for her whenever she needed her and expressed her appreciation for Deb's unwavering support.
"It was great for me to see a woman in the music business have my back. You know? And tell me that there wasn’t nothing wrong with me," she said.
Deb, for her part, always called Nicki Minaj "hardworking" and "disciplined." In a 2021 interview with Revolt, while discussing women in the rap industry, the talent manager remarked:
"She (Minaj) was highly disciplined. And I’m telling you this right now, I have not ran into a woman yet that can even stand toe-to-toe with her as far as being disciplined. It’s hard for me, with women, because she set the bar for me so high."
On Saturday, Minaj shared an Instagram post with Deb Antney where the two women discussed the rapper's outfit.
The Trinidadian singer is currently on her Pink Friday 2 World Tour in support of her album of the same name. Her next performances are scheduled in Dublin, Ireland (July 6) and Bucuresti, Romania (July 7).
