Cardi B has clapped back at Joe Budden for his remarks about the rapper on his podcast The Joe Budden Podcast, as she hopped on X (formerly Twitter) on July 18, 2024, on an X Spaces session and responded to Budden's remarks. Calling Joe Budden "a hater," she said:

"You quit on your passion. You quit on your passion. I'm not gonna quit, bro. That's the issue with you; you critique everybody. You critique every single body, and stop being a hater, bro. Stop being a f**king hater."

Talking about how Joe Budden has been the only one “to talk bad things” about her, the rapper continued:

“Bro I gave you a lap dance two times in Starlets. You was high as f–k. High as f–k on coke, n—a… I don’t give a f–k when people talk s–t about me. It’s the fact you always talk shit about me Joe Budden. Out of nowhere, you would think I did something to this n—a… For the past two years, this n—a has only talked bad things about me."

This again triggered a response from Joe Budden, who denied the allegation of receiving a lap dance from Cardi B. Responding to her on X, Budden said:

"I promise you and can assure you, i will not cover a single thing this girl does for the remainder of her career… Peace & love."

He cotinued,

"I have also never gotten a lapdance from this lady."

He added,

"I also have never done coke."

The fiasco started just after Joe Budden stated on his podcast about how Cardi B is not going to release another album in her career. The comment by the podcaster was made due to the over-delayed release of Cardi’s album, Sophomore.

Joe Budden’s statement explored as his words prompted Cardi B's response

Joe Budden and Cardi B have made their way into the limelight after the former criticized the rapper’s career, and commented on the delay of her album, Sophomore. Stating how she will “never” release the album, Budden said in his podcast:

“We’ll never get another album again. I am standing on it. Cardi got something dropping with my man Rob49 on Friday, but that’s what Cardi’s gonna be now. A single artist. I’m sure Offset wants Cardi to put an album out."

He continued:

Ay, fellas out there. Boyfriends, y’all know that feeling right? When you want your bit*h to get a job. You in the house and your bit*h won’t leave… Ain’t you got an album to do? Ain’t you got a single?”

As Joe Budden spoke about her divorce from Offset, Cardi B responded and said:

"Shut the f**k up, you don't even know me. Everything you do, whether it's my personal life or my music life, you're always talking sh*t about it, but then you fake thirsty for my album."

As the war of words continues between Cardi B and Joe Budden, social media users have been left divided as a few started bashing Budden for his comments, while others agreed with what he said.

As the statements and responses by the two celebrities went viral, there were also a few netizens who commented, stating that they had been waiting for Cardi’s album to be released for a very long time. However, at the moment, the rapper has not yet clarified when she will be releasing the much-awaited album.
