Pop sensation Katy Perry took to the stage at the 2024 Jingle Bell Ball, delivering an unforgettable performance for fans, but the night ended on a surprising note.

On December 13, 2024, during the final act of her Jingle Bell performance, Katy Perry observed a noticeable number of fans leaving the venue.

Rather than brushing off the situation, Perry addressed it directly, playfully urging the audience to "make up their minds." She remarked that it seemed the crowd couldn't decide whether to stay or go —

"You don't know whether to stay or go, or be in or out, or hot or cold. Just make up your mind then!" Perry said to the crowd.

According to Gravity Media, the Jingle Bell Ball is a popular music event organized by Capital FM, a leading UK radio station.

The Jingle Bell Ball is an annual two-day Christmas music festival held in December at London's O2 Arena. It features performances from some of the biggest names in pop music, including international and British artists.

On Friday, December 13, 2024, Katy Perry took the stage as the final act at the Jingle Bell Ball 2024, an annual music event at Madison Square Garden.

However, according to Music News, a noticeable number of fans—reportedly in the hundreds—began leaving the arena before her performance concluded.

The pop sensation addressed the situation directly, lightheartedly acknowledging the departures. Perry remarked to the audience that she understood it was late cold and that they had perhaps consumed "too much sugar," but urged them to make up their minds about staying until the end or not —

"Hi everyone. I know, I know, it's crazy. It's so late, it's so cold outside. You had way too much sugar," Perry said.

Videos circulating on TikTok and online captured fans and eventgoers exiting the venue while Perry playfully called for their attention.

While the exact reasons for the early departures remain unclear, Just Jared reported that many attendees may have left to catch the last available public transport as trains departing the city were about to stop for the night.

One eventgoer shared on TikTok that she stayed through Katy Perry's entire set but was stranded in New York City until 4 a.m.

As of now, Katy Perry has not publicly addressed the incident since the event's conclusion.

For the Jingle Bell Ball 2024, Katy Perry made a striking fashion statement, opting for a shimmering ensemble featuring a silver and beige corset adorned with a prominent silver web-like detail around her waist.

She paired the corset with sparkling, shimmering briefs and completed the look with two bold horns on her head. Perry styled her hair sleek and straight with front bangs, while her subtle makeup perfectly complemented the overall look, enhancing her radiant stage presence.

Perry's setlist for the 2024 Jingle Bell Ball included twelve songs, such as California Gurls, Woman's World, Teenage Dream, Part of Me, Dark Horse, E.T., I'm His, He's Mine, I Kissed a Girl, Hot N' Cold, Roar, and TGIF. According to Music News, Perry shortened all her songs and closed the night with a powerful performance of Firework.

The event boasted a star-studded audience, with notable figures such as Sarah Michelle Gellar, Mckenna Grace, Martha Stewart, Jonathan Van Ness, Tan France, Daryl Sabara, Gracie Abrams, and James Charles among those in attendance, as per Just Jared.

Katy Perry was not the only performer to hit the stage at the Jingle Bell Ball 2024. The lineup featured a range of celebrated artists and entertainers, including Tate McRae, Teddy Swims, Benson Boone, Meghan Trainor, Madison Beer, Shaboozey, The Kid LAROI, Twenty One Pilots, Jimmy Fallon, and NCT Dream, ensuring a night filled with electrifying performances.
