Soulja Boy and Drake have been involved in a beef for different reasons for the last few years. Meanwhile, the former has been trending again on social media after he called out the latter, referring to his dispute with Kendrick Lamar that happened earlier this year.

Also known as DeAndre Cortez Way, the rapper posted two tweets through his official page on X (formerly Twitter) on July 16, 2024. Soulja tagged Drake in his messages where he started by saying that he was disappointed with Drake and continued:

"Doing all them weak a*s songs with them n*ggaz look where It got u none of them n*ggaz you collab with or took on tour had yo back @Drake."

While Drake has not reacted to Soulja Boy's tweets until now, netizens took to the comments section of the posts to share their responses. One of the reactions reads:

"You fell bro stop looking for clout."

A few people criticized DeAndre for frequently targeting Drake.

"This guy wants a feature so bad", a user wrote.
"So irrelevant he has to mention Drake in every tweet to bang lmfao", another user wrote.
"Ur tweets only band when u mention drake, clout chaser", a third user wrote.

Other users claimed that DeAndre shared the tweets possibly for the promotion of his upcoming album.

"Relax everybody, he got a album rolling out. Lol", a second reaction reads.

Some reactions featured the users supporting Drake.

Soulja Boy had once collaborated with Drake before they had a dispute

Although Drake and Soulja Boy's beef dates back to 2019, the duo had previously worked together in a remix of the single, We Made It. The song was released in 2013 and while speaking to XXL magazine the following year, DeAndre addressed the time when he first heard the single and added:

"I was looking down and I heard the beat. And I was like, 'N*gga, we made it! N*gga, we made it! They was like, 'Bruh, that's crazy Soulja. This sh*t crazy.'"

However, Soulja Boy later appeared for an interview on The Breakfast Club in 2019 and targeted Drake, saying he was the one who taught everything about rapping to Drake. DeAndre additionally claimed that Drake copied his flow from the song What's Hannenin, which was used in the latter's single, Miss Me. He stated:

"Don't act like I didn't make Drake. Don't do that."

The 33-year-old expressed his frustration towards Drake the same year as he spoke to XXL magazine, saying that he was not invited by Drake to perform on their collaboration project during a tour in 2013. DeAndre was also dissatisfied with the fact that a music video was never made for their song.

On another occasion in 2021, Drake created a new record where he managed to maintain his position in the top three spots of the US Billboard Hot 100. He even appreciated Bow Wow for contributing to his success through Instagram, using a few lines from the latter's single, Thank You, which says:

"If it wasn't for you, there wouldn't be no me, and that's why I'ma rock with y'all forever more. I appreciate y'all."

However, Soulja Boy made fun of Drake's words with a tweet that reads:

"That n*gga drake is hilarious. Dude stole my whole bar then thanked bow wow."

Soulja Boy's last album, Soulja Season, was released in May 2023 and his next mixtape, Pretty Boy Millionaires, is scheduled to come out sometime this year.
