Songwriter and friend of Cassie Ventura, Tiffany Red, took to Instagram recently to address backlash over her silence over Diddy physically assaulting Ventura. This comes after Diddy took to Instagram recently to publicly apologize for manhandling the singer in a Los Angeles hotel in 2016. Despite Red receiving backlash for not taking control over matters, she has defended Ventura publicly in the past.
Trigger warning: The following article has mentions of s*xual assault and physical violence. Reader’s discretion is advised.
On May 18, Tiffany Red took to her official Instagram account to respond to a fan’s question as to why she did not speak up over Cassie Ventura getting physically and s*xually assaulted at the time of the violence. In response, the 37-year-old said:
“So what exactly do y’all expect for me to have done outside of be there for her [Cassie Ventura] in these moments? Like, people who are like, “Oh, you speaking now.” How the f**k do you know what I did then? You don't, because you wasn’t f**king there. Also how about next time you go up against a world-famous, influential billionaire who has more resources to shut you down than anyone. How about you go against somebody who has never been arrested and convicted of s**t?”
Tiffany Red then said:
“What the f**k do y’all expect me to have been doing? Also, let me give you this nugget: we have a friend who was hung from Cassie’s balcony. You know why? Because this person was there for her. So miss me with the “what would you, why didn’t you, what did y’all do then?” You don’t know things we can’t speak of. Trust and believe, the people who have tried to protect Cassie have f**king paid for it.”
Tiffany Red blasts Diddy after latter uploads apology video to Instagram
Despite Tiffany Red receiving criticism over her silence in the past, she has now taken to the internet to slam Diddy for apologizing after physically assaulting Cassie in the Los Angeles hotel. In an Instagram post, she told the Bad Boy CEO to “cut it out.” She also stated that his apology made no difference as he allegedly continued to abuse her after the incident that took place in the hotel in 2016.
Red, who has written tracks for Zendaya, Jason Derulo, and Cassie Ventura herself, among others, also stated in her Instagram video that she remembers the incident taking place as she was “around.” Speaking about the jarring abuse video, Tiffany Red said:
“Watching that video the other day was crazy because I thought no one was ever going to see it because of you. And now you’re sorry? Really? Cry me a river, bro. You’re not sorry. You’re sorry you got caught.”
The Madrid, Spain-born went on to say that nobody was going to forgive him for his actions.
Tiffany Red stated so after Diddy took to Instagram yesterday to say that his actions in the surveillance footage were “inexcusable.” He also stated that he was “disgusted” by what he did and that he was seeking professional help for his actions. He went on to ask for forgiveness in the social media post.
Tiffany Red had extended support to Ventura in the past as well. In December, the former stated in an open letter to Rolling Stone that she was “terrified” for Ventura and that she was “traumatized” by the abuse Ventura went through, allegedly at the hands of Diddy.
Cassie Ventura’s husband, Alex Fine, also took to his Instagram account to address the concerning surveillance footage that was made available to the public recently. In a heartfelt post, he extended support to victims of domestic violence and assured victims of abuse that their stories matter and that they are not alone.
