Influencer and dancer JoJo Siwa recently posted a TikTok post, dancing to Tate McRae's new single, It's Ok I'm Ok. The clip featured the 21-year-old dancing to the pop beats donning a striking red T-shirt and boots as her peers watched and cheered. X user @ENTplus reposted the clip on Thursday, September 26, 2024, on the platform.
As the video gained traction online, internet users were quick to react. One user praised her performance, stating:
"Your honor I fear she served......."
Netizens continued to praise Siwa's dancing skills, calling her "talented." Here are some comments seen on X:
"I feel like we all tend to forget how talented Jojo Siwa is at dancing," one fan remarked.
"oh ill give 10s," another added.
"this how i act in front of the mirror when i start queuing up music for my shower," @s1hmb joked.
Others were critical of her choreography and technique.
"Bright side, you can give the custodian the night off. The floor is clean," one commented.
"She’s been dancing well lately and I live it. However I think this song requires a lot less than what she did," another wrote.
"I watched one lady analyze her dancing videos and talk about how she has a lot of energy, and agility, but no finesse, poise or hip fluidity, and now I can't unsee it. Like she's really good at moving quickly, and doing flips and tricks. But outside of being a trick queen..." @THEEMISSMIAMI added.
"Any attention is attention" - JoJo Siwa reflects on being the "most hated" contestant on Dance Moms
JoJo Siwa rose to fame appearing on the reality show Dance Moms in 2016 and 2017, alongside her mother, Jessalynn Siwa. In her interview with LADYGUNN for its cover story published on September 23, the singer-dancer reflected on being called the "most hated" contestant on Dance Moms. She told the publication:
"I was the most hated on that show. But my mom was like, nobody can take away what you did... Sure, people are commenting we want JoJo to go home, but people are commenting, we want JoJo... You know what I mean?"
Some viewers saw her as overconfident, and she was frequently seen having heated interactions with her fellow contestants and judges.
Before appearing on the dance reality, JoJo Siwa was a top-five finalist on Abby's Ultimate Dance Competition. She was just nine at the time. She continued:
"I learned at a very young age that in the public eye, any attention is attention... whether it be good attention or just attention."
Since then, the dancer has appeared on several TV shows and movies, including So You Think You Can Dance and The Angry Birds Movie 2. She also ventured into singing, dropping her single Boomerang in 2016. The track went viral with over one billion views on YouTube.
JoJo Siwa has released four EPs to date.
Recently, the dancer-singer did an interview with Access Hollywood to promote her film, All My Friends Are Dead. Before their conversation, Siwa danced without music, later sharing the clip of her performance on her TikTok. Just like It's Ok I'm Ok dance, it was met with mixed reactions.
JoJo Siwa has not publicly reacted to the comments.
