More details on Rihanna for Fenty Skin and her reason for launching the brand
To promote the Fenty Skin Hydra Vizor moisturizer and FatWater toner serum, Rihanna was barefaced with slightly glossy lips. Her honey-blonde hair was accentuated by the brown cardigan she wore atop a white camisole.
The jewelry pieces created a contrast against her simple look. She held the products against her cheeks.
The visuals were also posted on Fenty Skin’s official page on August 25, 2024, with the caption:
“What’s @badgalriri’s secret to a flawless face? The Supercharg’d skincare duo made for makeup. After cleansing, add a splash of #FatWater Toner Serum to tighten look of pores, brighten, + smooth skin. Then grab #HydraVizor moisturizer with SPF 30 to lock in fresh hydration that absorbs instantly + layers weightlessly under @fentybeauty makeup without pilling. Grab yours now @sephora + fentyskin.com."
Fenty Skin by Rihanna was launched in July 2020 with many celebrities including her long-time partner A$AP ROCKY, Paloma Elsesser, and Halima Aden. Fenty Skin was launched to cover the skin care concerns of different skin tones and types.
Emphasizing inclusivity like the Fenty Beauty franchise, the first products launched were a makeup-removing cleanser, a moisturizing sunscreen, and a toning serum. Rihanna, in an interview with Vogue magazine in July 2020, spoke about the reason behind the launch of the brand’s products saying:
"Skincare is self-care. I am trying to get people into a ritual. Something that's really simple—three steps. We start there because skincare can get really complicated. It can get confusing, so I wanted to start with something that would be easy to understand so that people can get right to it."
Rihanna also told the magazine that while Fenty Skin focused on making skincare easier to apply, the brand’s products also took into account the sensorial experience by incorporating natural scents from Barbados cherry, coconut, and desert melon ingredients.
Rihanna recently announced via Fenty Skin, that her haircare line, Fenty Hair, launched in June 2024, will be available in Sephora from September 1, 2024.
