Zach Bryan has had enough of people allegedly "harassing" his friends in hopes of finding out his relationship status after his breakup up with ex-girlfriend Brianna LaPaglia, aka Brianna Chickenfry. In a series of Instagram Stories on Thursday, January 9, the singer-songwriter slammed people online, whom he called "f**kn weird couch warriors." He alleged that people had attacked and belittled his friends on the internet. He wrote in one of the posts:

"All you f**kn weird couch warriors attacking and belittling my friends on the internet because you're assuming I have a girlfriend are weird as hell and should be studied for science. Everyone wonders why I quit touring and don't want to be attached to music anymore meanwhile you're calling my friends ugly and harassing them?"

While he wasn't asking for sympathy, he said that going after his friends is "low" and "messed up." After slamming rumors that he had four different girlfriends in two weeks, Zach Bryan clarified his current dating status for the netizens who were wondering.

"I don't have a girlfriend and don't plan on having a girlfriend however I do have normal friends that I love very much and would go to the ends of the earth for."

Zach Bryan and Brianna Chickenfry called it quits on October 22, 2024, with the singer-songwriter sharing the news on his Instagram at the time.

However, shortly after Bryan's breakup announcement on social media, LaPaglia took to her Instagram Story to say that she was "blindsided" by her ex making the breakup public.

Zach Bryan said that he's "allowed to have love" despite confirming his single status

Zach Bryan's Instagram Story entries on January 9 continued as the Pink Skies singer put his foot down against supposed bullies on social media.

Although he had already confirmed that he wasn't dating anybody at the moment, Bryan made it known that he was "allowed to have love" in his life if he chose to. He wrote in a separate post:

"I am allowed to have love, laughter and good people in my life."

He also came to his friends' defenses, further railing against netizens who have bullied their way into his friendships, adding:

"No matter how bad of a person you think I am, go ahead and come for me. I can take all the hatred because I'm not a child. But do not come for my friends who do nothing but love and care for me."

He also claimed that his friends are being insulted and are getting death threats "every day," which he said made it really hard for him to have fun and make great music.

Zach Bryan further said that he's getting "closer to never being in the public's eye again" as he mentioned losing a little more faith in humanity every day with what's been going on.

The singer-songwriter also has some words for people giving him unsolicited advice about coping with grief, saying that he didn't need it.

Bryan recalled losing his mother and being in war zones, including the years he battled being in the spotlight for his music.

Zach Bryan has since cut short his Quittin' Time tour in November 2024, although he released his single High Road a day after sharing on social media about quitting his tour.
